What's the bird break?

Watch some of the matches in the 2007 World Pool Championship in Philippines on YouTube, and you will see it. Almost all of the competitors had it down pat.
You crack the rack at about 10 miles per hour by hitting a certain place in the rack that makes the balls flower out perfectly for an easy run out. If I remember correctly, it was either the corner ball or the one ball that went in the same pocket, each and every time.
Think of the carnival gaffe table with three balls to run out and you win the teddy bear or stuffed animal. The trick to that gaffe table is to break the three balls very lightly, so that they spread perfectly for a good run-out.
When you use a lot of speed on the break, let's say 25 to 30 miles per hour, one may not have as good a control on how the balls flower out after the contact of the cueball into the rack. Thus, the bird break was born.
