What's the "going rate" for simple Tasc cues?

I admit, I'm a bit out of touch with some parts of the market.

I'm curious what others...with more recent experience...can share about the current pricing/value of a simple 4-point Tascarella cue. Minimal inlays (if any, at all), little (or no) ivory. Just the classic 4-pointer with a linen wrap and steel joint.

Never had one. Always wanted one. Might look to trade for one.

I have a NICE Satin SW with 2 shafts...and a stunner Bob Owen Ironwood 4-pointer with 2 shafts....and a couple different 2x4 cases to toss into the ring...if stars and moons align.

Any info is appreciated!

I reached out to the shop, a few weeks ago. Was quoted $3k for a simple 4-pointer...with about 13 months of wait time.

Looking for a gently used, well-cared for 2ndary market cue with 2 shafts

Hey Rat;

A straight 4 point Tasc with 2 full shafts in nice used cond will start at approx $2600 with no inlays and linen wrap and don't be too surprised to see these at $3-$3200 asking price.

Of course add for leather/lizard/elephant wraps, inlays, etc.

My advice would be that if you see one you really like, stretch a couple hundred if you have to in order to secure it as these price point Tascs aren't plentiful and when they do show up they typically sell fast.

I ordered a Full Splice wrapless Tasc back in June. Last cue I got from him was in 2016. Back then, the standard short splice was 2600 and the full splice was 2800. Prices have gone up since then. I picked out a beautiful Ebony into Rosewood blank he had made. I will have the same specs as my 2016 cue (which I am still playing with). 25% deposit along with detailed and exact order is required. Pete quoted me 12 months wait, but I am hoping I will get it in 6 months or so. When I receive that new cue, I will send back my current one to be refinished. As stated, even his plainest cues go for $3K + on the used market. It is definitely a cue with very high resale value.

I have a basic 4 point on order.. short splice, 4pt/4ven.. 2 non-ivory ferrules.. wrap.. $3000.

Wait is 12-16 months...

Full splice was $500 more... Hoppe ring adds to that. Inlays, etc based on number/complexity.. adds up quick.

There is hardly any drop in price on the secondary market... Tascarella cues are in high demand...

One of my favorite cues is the Golden Tascarella. IMO, their name is synonymous with highly crafted, great playing cues.
