What's the thoughts on this case?

Man, this hits home. My son plays, but he is very seriously bipolar with alcohol and drug problems, so there is zero chance I give him my sticks, guitars, pool table, or anything else I don't want to see sold for pennies on the dollar.
Yea. This is why people liquidate their assets into cash so the heirs don't have to deal with it.

I mean there could be a cue collection that is worth thousands but the kids boxed it up and put in the garage for the past 10 years. Inlays are popped out and the shafts are warped.

I think it's worth around $1,800 or more. You would want to put it on the Justis Facebook page, OBM and others. It may be signed and dated. Check under the bottom pocket.

Crazy. As mentioned, my friend sold his made in the late 90's, bought new and never used. He sold it for $200 and the guy who bought is using it as a daily beater case because it doesn't hold many cues. The case can stand up to hard usage. There is even a little slot for a key and he carries the key. LOL

Personally, I have an awesome leather JB Case that is beat up but I still condition the leather and re-dye some worn areas and it looks fantastic! Once in a while I will take a brush to it and give it a little polish. Replaced the interior and its back to being a new case. JB is the best in my opinion.

Unfortunately, the guy that thinks it is worth 2k won't ever use it while the guy that bought it for $200, while knowing the value, will still use his. I equate this with cues too. Expensive stuff bought are usually stored away while cheaper purchases are used.

I'll be 80 in 4 months, not using it and certainly not going with me!
I have a JJ for while that is a closet queen... and staying there.... or if I can get a nice display rack that's where it is going. It's not going with me either and the person I would leave it to will kill it real fast. I might sell it..not sure. Hoarder here.
The case you have is a beaut. Real nice. If a seriously collector wants it let them make an "I Want That Case" offer

even though it‘s not my jam anymore and I wouldn’t use it selling my justis was one of the great regrets I have with pool items I no longer have

I sold both of my leather Instroke cases. Personally I don’t think that the leather pockets have enough give in them to hold whatever I want to carry for a full day of play or at tournaments. I think the leather cases are the nicest in appearance- no doubt - but from a practical standpoint they just don’t work for me. One example would be that most leather cases like this do not accommodate a jump cue handle section And a 12 to 13 inch rear cue extension. This Justice case - mint- would be highly desirable to many who still enjoy leather cue cases and would command probably $1400 to $2000 range IMO

It's like having a cue you don't use and to have a case you don't use is insane to me.

The good news is some other guy is enjoying it.

Leather cases are also very heavy. Mine weights 15lbs with 3 butts and 5 shafts with a piece of chalk. Sometimes I swap it to a cheap 2x3 case and the difference is huge.

Now if casemakers can cut the fat then I will buy another case. In the meantime, I'm just going to use it till it breaks.

He has a Justice Pro Lite case and Whitten makes a light leather case now too- but, yes , the older leather cases and the Instroke are very heavy when loaded.
