What's worse?

I would hate to reach the end of my life, and look back with regrets to the things I wish I had done, but didn't, simply because of a fear of failure.

Babe Ruth set records as the home run king when he played baseball. It's a little known fact that he also held records for striking out. If you don't swing at the ball, you will never hit it.

If you give any endeavor an honest try with focus and effort, there is no failing. Maybe you won't do as well as you hope or feel you should, however you still learn. Sometime learning a weakness exists is as important as being the best at something.

Isn't that one obvious? Gimme a question with square roots or something.

I always love the railbirds that never get up and play but openly criticize players when they lose.

I'll look up at the rail and say, "None of you have never missed a ball up there from the cheap seats? But then again, you never won a game from up there either, have you?"

or

"You're dead even for tournament or match play, aren't you? 0-0 is even, isn't it? After all, if you never get out of the chair and play, how can you lose?"

It amazes me how some people can sit on the sidelines of life and never want to jump into the fray.

Not trying

NOT TRYING and WONDERING!!!!! By far. Can't learn anything if you dont get in there and get dirty, banged up, cut, bruised, etc... Definitely weeds out the weak people and makes strong people stronger. Nobody ever got anything, but a bad case of hemmroids, by sitting on their butt. SORRY FOR THE VISUAL.

OK.. but lets say Efren is at Vegas and looks you in the eyes and says let's play for $1000 a set, race to 5, minimum 5 sets. It is your last 5K in your bank.

Should you try, or should you walk away? In that case, I would not try and fail.. but that's just me :)

I would say the answer depends on the result of the failure. Try to jump between the roof of two buildings when you are 70% sure you can make it.. doh....

I thought this thread was from the Mike Myers movie, "So I married an Axe murderer."

Whats worse... ordering a big nice juicy steak and lifting it up to find a scabby band aid oooooorrrrrrr....
