Whats wrong with my shot, its going to the right

Straight shot.
It happens on both sides...

Okay. At address, with the tip at the ball, does your arm hang straight down from your elbow, or does it tilt in a little towards your body? If you can't tell for sure, get someone to stand directly behind you.

On more snipe Neil. I don't even care if it wasn't meant as a snipe, but I see it as one. One more, and pack your bags.

Mike, you set up an "Ask the Instructor" forum so that instructors could give reliable answers to questions without all the harassment found in the main forum.

Here, you have an actual instructor giving an answer. Followed by Rick, who even lists in his threads that he is not an instructor, stating that in HIS opinion (unqualified to answer as he is not an instructor) more info is needed and anyone giving an answer is making assumptions and is making a poor choice in answering at all.

In his very next sentence, he himself gives advice on what to do. Which, as all instructors know, he mirrored what I said in different words. That is why I stated about the irony. He states not to listen to advice yet, then gives advice in his very next sentence.

He has a long history of going against what instructors on here teach, with the exception of Fran Crimi. He is doing the exact same thing here. A known instructor gives advice, and he is right there saying how it is a poor choice to listen to. (But doesn't even realize that his advice results in exactly what I stated)

He then goes on to call me a troll, and another instructor a troll in this very thread. (post #8 and 12) Yet, I am the one threatened with a perm. ban. Doesn't make any sense to me at all. What is the instructor forum even for if we are still going to get harassed and called bannable names in it by those that aren't instructors? I expect it in the main forum. Not here. And it's a shame that you are threatening to ban an instructor and not the one causing the harassment. I really don't see how you think that makes the forum any better. It does just the opposite.

What qualifies someone to be an INSTRUCTOR in this section ?
Can you at least beat the 7-ball ghost or something tougher ?

It seems odd that you would place such an expectation.
We don't expect football coaches to run the 50 yd dash in 4.5 seconds.
We don't require basketball coaches to be 7' 2".
We don't require all Olympic coaches to have won a gold metal.

Knowledge acquired has a way of staying with you even when you surpass the physical restraints that come with genetics or age.......
or for many, who may possess great talent but choose not to invest the considerable time requirements necessary to stay at the top of their game.

OK, what if they are just C players and were C players in their prime ?

I would imagine they wouldn't be successful unless their knowledge base far and above exceeded their abilities. Instruction is nothing more than a transfer of information....it's not a competition with your instructor. There seems to be the illusion for some that if the instructor can't beat me then how can they teach me anything.

Einstien taught us how the universe works and never once went into space.

On long power shots, my OB is hitting the right side of the pocket. Right now I aim at the left corner of the pocket and the I get "Nothing but Center" :D

So how do i properly correct this ?

is it my aim or my stroke that is amiss ?

Use a ten ball as a cue ball. Make sure the blue circle is vertical, pull the trigger, video it from front or rear of the shot....and then let us know what happened with the blue vertical circle, did it roll vertically? That can really help us.

I am going through something similar. To question your stroke as a starting place I would want to see if I finished the shot online or off to one side or the other. See where your cue ends up on the table following your shot. On a purely straight, hard, draw shot my cue tends to finish slightly left of the center line. If I finish online I miss left. In my case it seems to be turning out to be a poor grip. Fran helped me get on track with that one. Good luck and the folks here are a great source of help.
