What's your AzB rank?

Rude Dog

<---Dumb and Dumber
Where would you rank yourself on a list with every single AzB'er if you were playing 9 ball? Not including the pro's. I guess it would be hard to say because we don't know everyone in here but if you think you're the best player on here, then put yourself at the top until someone says otherwise. This should get a lot of feedback for yourself about where your game really is compared to others. There's plenty of people in here that do know lots of members of this forum, or at least knows of their game. So, if you think or know that you are the best 9 ball player in this forum, speak up. Or, if you think someone else is the best, speak up for them. A list is a list, that's all. Personally, I don't know that many members in here but I do know Jimmy M., and he plays well. Not just 9 ball either, he plays all games well. But, since this is my stupid idea, I'll put myself at the top of the list until someone can convince me otherwise. Have a nice day, John.

P.S. Please, no hijackers to this thread, this is just for fun, not to woof at anyone. Peace, John.

Well, I sure as hell won't be knocking you from the top.
In all honesty, I'm probably just below the center in this group. There are lot's of real good players on here and anyone who would be classified as a solid B player would be above me.
The only thing I can go by is my APA ranking, which I'm a SL6 in both 8 and 9 ball.

Well that would be...

Difficult to judge. But I have been reading this forum for a few years. I think there are some very good players on this board. I also play pretty sporty at times. I would realistically rank myself in the top 50 for sure. Now this is just a guess because I have seen very few play. But I'm very confident in my ability to match up with just about any non pro.

I thought I was a low level A player until I started this DM game. Now I'm probably a low B.

My rank would be Private Parts :D

"So Ty what did you shoot ?" Oh I don't know I don't keep score..So how do you measure yourself against other golfers? By Height:D

in two and a half weeks.

In two and a half weeks I'll be passing through the pool hall where sweet melissa plays. I'll wait until after that and let her post where I rank. I hate tooting my own horn, so I won't. Whoever can take whatever they want from that. Hell, I don't even know if she'll be there when I go or if she'll see me play. So I may well not have anything posted. There are only a few people on here who have a clue how I play and the one's who do don't know who I am and wouldn't be able to say anyways. If Morro comes on here, he could probably say, but then again he would have no clue who I am even from what I've posted on here.

There are a couple posters who, if they're not full of crap, play pretty good but they never post their real names, otherwise we'd know for sure. "Unknownpro" and "TheGoldenChild" come to mind. They play pretty good if what they say is true.

I don't know whether you're at the top of the list or not, Rude Dog, but you definitely smoke the biggest pipe on the forum. I'm taking all side bets on that one. :D

(Woof:D ) I gotta play better than you, I practice almost30 min per week and that is almost 3x more than you.

Ranking ...

How in the world can you rank yourself without seeing
how other posters play?

Guesstimate - Top 10, maybe top 5.
(now don't give me sh*t about this, but the only
sizable comparison I have to base this on is the
fact that I took 9th at the VNEA International
Championships in Vegas one year with over 1,000 entries,
but it was 8 ball, not 9 ball.)

If you take the total number of AZBers and subtract about 4 or 5, then that's probably my rank right there. ;)

But in all seriousness, I probably haven't played as much pool in my lifetime than 95% of the posters here. I'm 26, and I just started getting really interested in pool only 2 years ago. I think I have the talent, but I just haven't put in any time to develop it. Now that I have a kid, I have absolutely NO time. But I still remain a big fan of pool regardless. If I have to guess my rank, I think I can beat only 20% of the total posters...right now. Once I get my own table, however, I'll have to re-evaluate myself after about a month :). (By then I'll probably drop down to bottom 10% :p )

of the posters.

If I had to try and judge the best players who post here, I would have to go by demonstrated knowledge, which isn't always the best way to determine, but I would say that Colin Colenso, Rude Dog, onepocketchump and scott fraser, appear to me to have a good grasp of the game and I would put them close to the top of the list. If I had to go by top players that I know personally can shoot, I would have to put Louis Ulrich at the top. Sorry if I left out other knowledgable players, that was not meant to be all inclusive at all.

Tough question. I'm going to Reno, the Sands, in a couple of weeks. I'll let you know after that how I play.

Hmmm....3500 posters....I'm somewhere in between first and last...lets say tied for #1750. I'll make adjustments to this on January 2, 2006.

Terry

EDIT: ps- any a you whimps not playin' in the Annual Drivermaker Memorial Open Invitational?
