What's your favorite place to shoot pool?

Is the Cue Club still at Sahara and Maryland Pkyway? I played there briefly when my son (15 at the time) got interested in pool. I always heard that 3 world champions would come out late in the evening to play one pocket but never saw it. We ordered our custom SW cues from Jerry Franklin at that time too.

It's in that general vacinity. In the Commercial Center off Sahara. You would probably recognize the interior as it really hasn't changed other than being half the size. Actually, rumor has it the closed side of the room may be re-opened soon as a "league" room with food! As I said, it's just a rumor at the moment. Hope to learn more when I return to Vegas on July 18th.

Incidentally, Southwest is still in the same location.

AZB is like a good trap, the more you struggle the tighter it gets.

You laid the groundwork for the jokes, if you don't take them in stride or complain it will just get worse.

Good advice, maybe I'll grow a thicker skin.

From Chicago. Love the Ten Cat on Ashland and Irving. It's a bar but they have 9 ft and 8 ft Brunswick. The worst Pressure in uptown because of the prices they charge to play.

Pressure is a very nice room with good equipment. Pressure also has punch cards that get you free pool. The owner is a great guy, who just purchased the old Marie's Golden Cue, and is reopening it as another great new Chicago poolroom! If you think their prices are high, you haven't been to the downtown rooms like City Pool Hall and GQ Billiards.

I've been to poolrooms all over the country. There are many great ones...Amsterdam in NYC, Fargo Billiards in Fargo ND, Hard Times in CA, Chris's in Chicago, Blue Fin Billiards in Fresno CA, and Griff's in Las Vegas!

I love Malarkey's here in Tacoma, but I'd say my two favorite places in my travels would be Bank Shot Billiards in Louisville, KY and Best Billiards in Las Vegas, NV.

Best Billiards has been closed for nearly three years. Nearly all the equipment went to Good Timez on West Charlston near Jones.

I walked into Fargo Billiards And Gastropub Fargo ND the other day and was quite impressed. 0.7 miles from a a truck stop. I drive truck otr and i will never let an attendant hold my cdl license or credit card to insure i pay my $5.65 table charge. Other than that i liked the place.

Pressure $7.50 for one player per hour. Friday and Saturday's 9.50 for one per hour. When you can play down the street at Cary's on a 9 ft diamond for free or at Ten Cat for free. Please...

Sounds like someone has a deal with the owner for free table time to give lessons.
