Whats your high run in any game?

Rude Dog

9-ball, 8-ball, straight pool, whatever it is, what's your high run? I've got a high run of 7 racks in 9-ball, not sure about 8-ball, and maybe 40 balls in straight pool.

LOL @ Rude Dog, new generation player much? can only run 40 balls at straight pool but make him run them in order and he can run 63!! hahah.
Im the same way though, 3 racks of 9-ball, 3 racks of 8-ball, 10 balls in one pocket, and 26 balls in straight pool. I have only ever played straight pool by myself, most the time i forget the rules halfway through. I start the break by placeing a breakball where i want it, taking ball in hand, and racking the other 14 balls with the front 1 missing.

Tournament play I won the flip and ran the set out {race to 7}. The kicker is I had been on my couch for 2 days with the flu. I got 3rd in the tournament. High run is 10 in 9-ball --- 8 racks in 8-ball Most banks in a row-- 42 cross side banks. Sam

Im assuming you set up the bank shot each time?? Or did you somehow have a way of running out and getting balls back on the table?

2 racks of 8-ball, 2 in nine ball, 29 in straight pool. A few hours ago I ran 28 in straight pool, I had a perfect break shot for the 3rd rack and got a little thin on it, and missed. Been playing seriously since last October.

Yes, I have a cross side bank I shoot as part of a practice routine. I normally only shoot 10 but one night a friend was over and he said just shoot em til you miss. Sam

Damn, Jeff told the truth, LOL. I NEED WEIGHT, SAM. In 9 ball, I put a 6 pack on Sam Bono, a fair shortstop from Phoenix, back in the mid 70s and he pulled up. I hated he quit because I felt like I could have kept it going for a while. I might have run more at some other time but I was so WIRED up the last thing I wanted to do was count'um.

8 ball? I think I was always on the STALL. No one played 8 ball in the south except the bar bangers.

Straight pool? Hell, that's a Yankee game, lol. I did try it a couple of times in practice. Never made it to the third rack. 28 balls. THAT'S ALL.........$Bill

5 racks in 8 ball. 2 racks in 9-ball. 26 in straight pool. 23 points in a snooker break (run). 5 in 3-cushion.

Straight Pool..Pro Cut Diamond 108

9-ball.. 5 and 6 and 7 racks *the 5 was against Dallas West in the Tar Heel Open-Aug. 1984..won the match 11 to 4 as reported by tournament director, Grady Matthews in Nat'l. Billiard News.

Stan Shuffett

9 year old son/Landon....4 racks of 9-ball on Valley 7 footer....... no 9s on break or combos

Nice run Stan, Nice run for your son too. Kids are absolutely the most amazing creatures that god created. My 6 year old don't run racks, but he can run my computer and the Tivo unit pretty strong. Sam

2 9ball racks from break. But everytime I shoot i sink alot so its aright. Im working on my break :)

7 9-ball ranks, includes 1 9 on the break and 2 combos.

5 8-ball racks. Valley type table.

47 straight pool.

53 snooker 6x12.

Hey Rude Dog. I recently ran my first 100 playing straight pool (119, to be exact). I wish more people played it because I'd like to learn to play the game better.

3 consecutive racks of 9-ball, 2 in a row rotation (spreading out the balls and taking ball in hand on the 1) 38 balls straight pool, 2 racks in 8 ball, thats about it.

If you played any better, you wouldn't be human Jimmy. :D

3 break-n-runs in 9-ball and 30 in 14.1 for me. Both of those were a while back. Now it seems as though I never make a ball on the break after the first B&R and no one around here wants to play 14.1.

My biggest problem now is that I have a lapse in focus when I am supposed to get out and I choke.

most balls (lifetime)

nine ball -the 8 and 9 two or three times, (balls, not racks)- 8 ball - slopped the 8 on the break, (once, i think) - straight pool - the last ball, couple of times. Good huh?

Jimmy ...Play Tres Kane ...he loves straight pool..

Broke and ran 5 racks in 9 ball on two different occasions. Broke made a ball on the break and ran 7 more in 1h once. I very seldom ever play straight pool so I don't know about that (I'm still waiting for Tom from Cincy to give me some lessons).
