What's your high run of 9-on-the-break?

3 is my lucky number. 3 in a row 9 snaps, 3 in a row 8 snaps, 3-packs in both 8 and 9. Just can't seem to break that barrier yet. Don't think I ever snapped 3 in a row more than once in each.

Back in the mid 80's, on a road trip with a former pro, my friend got in a 5 man ring game on the 9'er. We were up a ways when one of the guys finally won his first game. He proceeded to snap in the 9 on the break 5 times. My friend and on other argued about the rack, but the others said there was no problem with the rack and let the same guy keep racking them. He snapped it in another 8 times for a total of 13 in a row. When my friend got back to even, he quit the game. He was a little concerned about quitting ahead in that particular game.

I smell shenanigans!

I have a friend who posts here as Genie 8.
In a race to 7 for a few hundred, he opened with five 9s in a row..
...and hung the sixth one.
His poor opponent got one shot in the seventh game...and got skunked.
...that happened in the 90s...the guy is still seeing a shrink.

I turned the sig off in tapatalk, got red reps & a LOT of negative PM's from people who thought I typed it in every time I posted. It still shows in the online version of the forum.

:( Here's some greenies to cheer you up. May you always get the chicken anyways.

6 on a 9ft K Steel. Using a house cue to break with too. The cloth was worn as hell and very quick, just quick enough for the 9 to roll and just drop into the far right corner each time. Obviously something was going on with the rack, but there were the 3 if us playing in rotation winner stays on kind of format and the loser had to rack so 2 different guys were racking for me. I made the 9 around 30 times that day in around a 5 hour session.

I should have either paid damn good money for that house cue, or purchased the table and made it my gambling table.

I KINDA made four in a row.
Played in a Utica tournament....skunked a man and finished with three nines on the break.
A year later, drew the same man in Syracuse....won the lag...dropped the nine.
"That's four." he said.
I'm on another skunk, made the nine and scratched.....he missed the eight...I missed the
eight also, but the cue-ball came off two rails and knocked the nine in off the spot.
" That's just perfect." he said.

i have made 3 in a row several times, the first time on a 9 footer,2 in the corner and one in the side. Never made 4 before, but i was playing a friend of mine in a 9ball tournament about a year ago,it was a race to your handicap.i was a 6 he was a 5. I make three 9 balls in that match and he makes 4,so 7 9balls in one match, the last one he made he scratched and it didnt count and i run out the rack to beat him. They werent consecutive but almost,it was loser breaks,he would make one then i would make one and so on. BTW to the guy who said he saw 13 in a row i have to call BS, thats a fish story....;)

I've done it 3 in a row on a not super consistent 7' (TDF .82), and 2 in a row probably 10-15 times.

I know it's not something that most people will keep track of, but if you do it 3 in a row on honest racking, you sure take notice!

Three, on a tough 9' table. I don't remember who I was playing but I'll never forget the 3 in a row.

No, it's the truth.

I had 2 in a row, a break and run, and then another 9 on snap, followed by a 1 ball on break and a 2-9 combo. It about set my opponent into a fit since we were playing a per game payout style. He was just forking over money and was about to lose it.

what your high run of 9 ball on the break

hi i once made 3 9 ball in a row two of them in the corner pocket and the other in the side pocket.

One played a person in a nine ball tournament he made 7 of them in a race to 11 not in a row
