What's your thing, other than pool?

Pre-pool my whole life was music. I used to write and perform (hip-hop), I also wrote lyrics and produced for other genres, and I was an audio engineer. I actually owned a recording studio a few years back, now all of that equipment is just wasting space.

I'm into cards, and I'm really into just general knowledge, learning anything I can at random.

Ah come on man, you know a blown alcohol HEMI is the easiest way to make serious power.:D

Sure But at least I ain't pulling mine down but once a year and I drove mine to the track, or the far reaches of the county on Saturday nights on pump gas. well sorta, I put that pretty blue 100 Low Lead in it. I had an airport connection. :) Actual formula was as follows... Skydiver + Buddy (Airport manager) + Fuel truck + two 35 gallon plastic drums X double the price over the local Amoco=fuel for weekends.

Take one Very clean 1968 RS Camaro and yank out one dead 307 and 3 speed on the floor.
Massage one 1968 L89 427 by adding a little bit of "Go Fast", some "Get up", a tad of "Hang on tight!", and don't even look at a NOS system.
Breathe through an 850 Holley and Dominator intake manifold and get the grinder out on them aluminum heads and the intake as well.
Slide all that through a Turbo 400 3000 stall to a Chrysler 8 3/4 4.89 Sure Grip rear axle. Yes I said Chrysler. Strong as hell and cheaper than dirt at the swap meet.
Stir in two off the shelf slapper bars extend them by 2 inches to hit the spring eye at the frame and add two 9" X 28" slicks
Spin that baby and turn 11.30's
Leave the slicks at home and turn 11.70's -11.80's and....
drive it to work everyday.

Yeah baby those were the days. :p

I tend to agree with the HEMI theory, Kobyp. Photo of my namesake.

I never had the opportunity to jump on one of those fire breathing, Ford eatin' Cuda's, but there was a buddy who had a '70 Challenger with that 440 Six-Pack 4-Speed that gave me hell without my slicks. Gold and a black top. All factory parts in that motor. (So he said ;) ) That was one beautiful piece of machinery. That thing would creep up in high gear right at the end and I could hear them carbs singing
They wont ever build cars like that one ever again. Kid's now a days have no clue.

But yall got me for sure with that bad boy blower turning up around 8500 in second with that blower belt and air intake howling is a sound ya gotta hear because you cant describe it!

Man oh man there I go getting them chills again!

Sorry yall kinda got carried away. I thought I was over the fever!

I paid the bills for many years playing the drums in a working band. I have limited guitar ability, but give me a recording studio and I'm proficient enough to come up with all the instrument parts myself. I am now married to my wonderful wife and we have our 1st child on the way. That takes precedence over everything! I like reading alot. I'm insane for all things pool and I have troubles dealing with not having enough time to practice to be as good as I want, but my wife and unborn child are number one! I love this site by the way.

I've been a drummer for nearly 18 years...used to go on the road, hated the life of starving musician.

I used to play classical guitar until arthritis hit me hard. Other than billiards, I still enjoy curling (you know, us crazy northerners and our rocks and brooms), and watching NHL and college hockey, Turkish and English Futbol, and baseball. I was big into firearms for a period, and love to learn other languages. (not to mention my hallucinogenic years)

no problem, just provide me a visa ! ;)
Maybe a marriage could be arranged :)
no doubt there will be qualified candidates, and ministries available!

Right now it's basically pool. When I'm not playing, I'm reading about pool, or watching pool. I've even started to dream about pool. It's getting pretty bad. :p But occasionally I also do some web programming (PHP and such) and design when I need the money. Movies, music. And I'mma have to go with AZE and say general knowledge.

Let's see. My things other than pool would have to be:

1) Sex. (usually alone. In the dark. In front of a computer.)

2) Stalking. (usually alone. In the dark. Outside the windows of a few women I know)

3) Making fun of others to hide the scores of insecurities that lay deep within the recesses of my mind (usually done in online forums and chat rooms)

4) Correcting people for typogarphical errors (if you don't see the irony in that, please don't respond - just shoot yourself.)

5) But most of all, I like to take long walks on the beach and read poetry. To talk about my feelings. My desires. My fears. I'm a libra, approx. 6'1" and 220lbs., and I guess I'm just looking for someone who likes these things as much as I do. If its you, feel free to PM me.

24 hours and not one single PM.

Well, I guess its back to computer porn and standing outside of windows.

-B <------------ hates stalking women who DON'T live on the first floor!!!

I'm into books, movies, photography, music, art, and I'm currently enrolling in a post-production school for film editing in California. Honestly, I don't know when to quit taking on new things.

My high school class of 1966, Provine, in Jackson, MS had the largest graduating class in the state history, 575. I was asked to do a memorial video for the classmates who have passed over the years for our 40th reunion last year. I reluctantly do updates to the video when needed. This is the link to the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIjTMpyLOQA
