"Wheat"cues... because pool players need fibre too ! including the "K Varney" posters

I know that title's lame but I thought it would grab your attention....

This mabey a bad time to do this, given the heat of the "Varney" situation but I have to clarify a few rumors that could cause negative impact on the future of WheatCues !

I chose to get involved on my own freewill with the "Varney nightmare" only to assist in getting something productive introduced into the equation rather than the constant negative upon negative posts that are only fueling destruction rather than resolving anything..." trust me, I know this from experience !"

I am not trying to be a martyr nor am I trying to uphold or defend Mr. Varney regarding his choice of business ethics....

He is a grown man and put himself in this situation without anyone else to blame....

I offered to contact him and relay any info. pertinant to the resolution of the current situation with 18+ pages of bad publicity... and after doing exactly as I said I would successfully... I relayed and posted the info. Mr. Varney asked me to, and that should have been somewhat of a relief and beneficial to all those who was concerned about him being M.I.A.

I assure you that I have no affiliation with him on a business level and do NOT want to continue to be a liasion for either side... I just saw the opportunity to help and jumped on it with good intentions !

I cannot confirm the validity of Mr. Varneys words but as a salesman for many years I learn to read people through their vocal tones and unless he can sell ice cubes to an eskimo too ! then I feel he was being sincere... but do not confuse that with honesty, I do NOT know him well enough to vouch for his integrety so let's keep that straight !

I'm almost sorry I got involved but when I see an opportunity to help someone I will do it every chance I get.."I fix things... it's what I do"

So once again this is a letter of clarification of my disposition and are asking all of you AZ'rs NOT to include me in this "Varney" bashing !!!

In closing... Kevin will post cues in the gallery as they are completed !

You tried to do a good deed Eddie & I appreciate it. I also apologize for any bad light my "fan club" tried to shine on you. You are an absolute gentleman and don't deserve any bad press. Blackjack got everyone straightened out on you and I see a bright future ahead for yourself.:smile:

Good post! Upfront and on point!

Over the years, from owning and managing pool rooms, being on the road, and now running a regional tour, I've tried to help numerous people out when they were in trouble and in need of help.

Have I been burned?

Yes, a few times. Those times have been forgiven but not forgotten.

But those few bad times do not offset the good things that came from the help when it was needed.

Will I help someone I don't know too well, again? You bet'cha!

Eddie, you did a good thing! As my ol' dad use to say, " In time, all things pass" and in this case, time will tell.

Kevin, keep your nose to the ...., I'd say grindstone, but in this case, it's the lathe, and hopefully, it will all work out. LOL

I don't think that there's much to worry about. I think it was quite obvious what you were doing. I for my part appreciated it very much. I really like your attitude... and your cues :-)

I totally agree Doug, Eddie no matter how you paint it, with every post you do nothing but push yourself farther into Varneys Camp.

While your words are sincere, maybe it is just me but you are still defending him, and you may not even realize it.

Maybe I missed it but what exactly did you do to help? Send KV a lot of post that he could have gotten himself?

I also noticed KV quickly responded to you with thanks...I guess you aren't waiting for and already paid for cue 12 months past due. Too bad he isn't as up front and quick to respond to people who's money he's taken .

Like I said... I'm not siding with ANYONE in this ordeal... I just wanted to see if I could help....

Anyways.... I just wanted to express my concern with being pulled into the mix and WheatCues suffering becasue of it !

I contacted him via phone and we had a 36min. discussion about the current issue and I offered to post any infomation he had regarding the whole incident....

And I did !!!

I thought that would atleast give a little comfort to the situation in a POSITIVE manner but of course there were multiple reactions....

But atleast after 18+ pages of disgust and etc... I thought I might be of some assistance....

Oh well.. atleast I tried to help both sides get somewhere positve with this whole mess...

I guess I missed it but I think one of KV biggest problems is his ducking issues and having you do his talking doesn't do anything to help that.

Perhaps you could help more if you gave him advice on how to run a business and what customer service is all about.

Just a thought.

I checked it out... I could only find 1 poll, it was about my "favorite drink"

the posts seem to be very lighthearted and more of a comically oriented nature than any type of serious beneficial information...

Besides It's hard to hang from 2 crosses at the same time, so I favor AZ Billiards over that playground....

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY ! I do NOT conduct business over there on that forum.. so those clowns can have all the fun they want on that site... let's face it I proved they can't beat me over here so they had to run and play somewhere else... to me, that site carries no weight or clout at all... so anything said over there is just fun & games and I DON't take it personal at all !


And It makes for a more "adult" oriented and serious minded forum on here !

By the way... he didn't ask me to speak for him... I 100% volunteered to get info from him for all who were interested !!!
