Outside of a few like China, when are the countries of the players that fill their pockets in the U.S.A tournaments going to have a few big money tournaments of their own that the U.S.A players can play in?

If it was up to me if your country doesn't put on a few 25k added tournaments that U.S players can go to...then you can't play here. Johnnyt

Players must have very small pockets. I don't think anyone could be making a decent living from their tournament winnings.

Once a suitable model is in place, then money will get added.
e.g. guaranteed sponsorship funds

In Europe when you finish in the money, you get paid.

Sorry, couldn't resist :rolleyes::grin:

Yet most top players from Europe come over here to not get paid.;)

Nah, the top players in Europe are too busy making proper money

Stuart Bingham won c. $470,000 for winning the world snooker title this season...

Only because you can bet on it, Take that away and it will be just like pool. Silly game any way. Johnnyt

This is a silly uninformed topic. The list of countries where pool tournaments outside the USA have money added is multitudinous.
Fujairah (UAE), Qatar, Japan, China, Taiwan, Indonesia and the UK
have all surpassed a million dollar in adding to prize funds.
The Philippines, Iran, Saudi Arabia. plus other Emirates such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi,
Sharjah and Ras Al Khamer have all contributed handsomely.
Spain have many financially assisted events. Likewise, but less prominent would be France and Holland. Greece are catching up fast. The majority are 'Open' events but you would have to be a mad keen and intrepid player take them all on
All these are pool events but if you wanted to look at snooker then there are 100+ snooker players whose career earnings have made them millionaires just from prize money alone.

Not true, snooker is being boast-casting on big Sport Channels in Europe, that is the main reason why it always carry a big prize, why again? because it's on TV, live TV not ustream, you figure out the rest.

Consider the source.

Thank you for some outside-of-the-USA perspective. I suspect that much of the lack of understanding comes from a lack of international information within the USA.
