Why walk to the other end of the table for chalk. Before the pocket chalker I kept a cube in my bridge hand. Just lazy I suppose but all those extra steps do add up in
6-8 hour sessions.

I stopped using those pocket chalkers because they fall out of my pocket all the time. I lost a couple and I just gave up.

I just use what's on the table or bum some from my teammates.

My hands sweat really bad and I wore a glove for a while. The problem was I would sweat bad enough to soak through the glove and it was worthless after that. I quit using it. I'm a much better player now and I don't get as nervous as I used to on shots but when it's hot and humid I will wash my hands every couple of games with cold water.

A Cuetec is too much cue for you Ted.
I never have or will use a pocket chalker.
Now don't tell anybody but I like chalk on the table because sometimes when I need to hit a rail exactly on one spot to fit the cue ball in a tight spot I mark that spot with the chalk. I know it's not legal so keep it hush hush people.

I think that cutting off your own thumb to use as a pocket chalker just to prove a point shows some toughness,
but its a little over the top in my opinion.
