I really don't know the particulars of his banning, but just wondering when he will return. I always thought he offered his opinions in a respectful manner, despite the lemmings of the liberal left spouting the party line with no real point. Come on back Larry, your contributions are missed.

Edit: I should have posted this in NPR, I guess. Please move to NPR, thanks.

It didn't take me very long, ( 1 post in N.P.R. ) to figure out; L.W.W. is a Curmudgeon.

Actually, it's been relatively civil at NRP since El-Dub left. I could get use to it for quite awhile longer.

The world needs curmudgeons...Samuel Johnson described himself as one.
LWW is a formidable poster and keeps everybody on their toes.

...if everyone started sounding like Tiny Tim, I'd leave the planet.

Gee, would you be talking about me? Just because I called the election correctly doesn't make me an ogre. (Just fyi, all that eye-rolling is bad for your pool game.)

You're pretty sharp today Paul!! Can't get nothing past ya :)

The Dubster is a tool of the right-wing without an original thought to offer. His ban should be lifetime.

While I agree, I've had him on ignore since the very few first times I went into the NPR section, about the second week I was here.

I disagree but defend your right to say anything or think anything you want.
Perhaps we don't define the word " curmudgeons " the same?

Origin:
1570–80; unexplained; perhaps cur- representing cur

—Related forms
cur·mudg·eon·ly, adjective

—Synonyms
grouch, crank, bear, sourpuss, crosspatch.

Fear not , the Dubster will return as soon as he's paid his debt to society.
And he owes society a lot less than others I can think of . . .

We're on the same page with 'curmudgeon'.
But 'grouch' is all right by me,
The first golf pro I worked for and the first good pool player that took
an interest in me were 'grouches'...and they did a lot of good (with
what they had to work with):embarrassed2:

I'd rather hear a 'curmudgeon' bark his version of the truth than some
politician talking like a snake oil salesman.

And Samuel Johnson, a known 'curmudgeon', delivered to us a fine
dictionary.

Point Taken Sir! That's who re-taught me pool as well as History. My best teachers were Curmudgeons; WWII Vets but we're talking about LWW!
I don't buy his my way or the highway attitude.
