It usually depends on your skill level, try playing with BIH after the break and see how you make out. If you beat the ghost consistantly and your not find it much of a challenge than you can change it up and stop taking BIH. It's about finding the challenge that's right for you.

Well

I think the normal rules for playing the ghost are that you get 1 BIH after the break. Anyone not playing that way had made an exception to the Ghost rules.

I don't think I have ever heard of a big bet on playing the Ghost (be it 9,10,11,12, or 15 ball ghost) with no BIH after the break.

Once you can run out 90% of the time against the nine ball ghost WITH ball in hand, you'll be playing like a world class professional.

With most people, dependant upon your break, I'd bet for the ghost.... This goes for BIH after the break. (read 99% of the pool playing population)

If it actually does come down to you beating the ghost consistantly, we'll see you in the magazines and on tv..

Great post, sjm. I concur, and I'm David standing next to a Goliath such as the likes of you.... :p
