Most of the time its because of the throw/deflection. Those shots where the object ball is on the rail are a pain to make with english ahh.

Focus, Focus, Focus, Focus, Focus, Focus, Focus, Aim, Focus, Focus, Focus, Focus, Focus, Stroke, Focus, Focus, Focus, Focus, Focus, Low % Shot, Focus, Focus, Focus, Focus, Aim, Focus, Focus, Focus, Stroke, Focus, Focus, Focus, Focus, Distracted by View, Focus, Focus, Focus, Pool Gods, Focus, Focus, Focus, Aim, Focus, Focus, Focus, Focus, Focus,

That is pretty much all of them......;)

changing my mind on the shot or the English when I am bent over the table.... and not resetting... just shoot it from there... I really need to learn how to stand up and start over...

My .02

Not being fully present in the moment. Not giving the shot 100% of my attention. Stop the endless chatter going on in your head and just be in the shot. As Randyg once told me, see it, hear it, and feel it before you pull the trigger. JMHO
I take it that you didn't see John miss the "almost " straight in 9 ball for $25,000 on ESPN. Archer took home the cheese that day. Everybody can miss a shot.
Purdman :)

I would agree, LOFT, if it were as simple as not aiming at the right spot ect... we could all be champions.

thanks for making me laugh, I had not heard this before

I usually use it to describe my golf game, but it was fitting for this thread. :)

I don't aim at a "spot" on the cb so I can't aim at the wrong "spot". I get the angle wrong.

Have you ever got down on the shot and really weren't comfortable at pulling it off but you shoot it anyway? Well that is usually it for me....It is a rookie mistake but it happens from time to time....

When that happends, I will starting to think that it's ok, I will not miss the shot and will make it. The only problem is, I'm not aiming anymore, I'm just thinking other things. When I pull the trigger, it will miss. I've learned to stand up again, chalk my tip and start it all over again.

You forgot the "You're so hammered, you don't care if you make it anyway."

Or..."The bet isn't right, yet."

100% of the time, I miss shots because I hit it wrong. I should have hit it here and I end up hitting it there. It's unbelieveable. If anyone knows how to cut down on hitting it there when you mean to hit it here, please let me know.
