Born and raised in the Western burbs of Chicago.

jsp - Which one? I grew up in Lombard... and mostly frequented the Swank Club in Glen Ellyn (on Roosevelt Rd.)... and occasionally, Lord and Lady in Wheaton... course that was back in the early to mid-60s.

Born and raised in Northern Ireland, UK, and still wishing that I was born and raised in the US, Oh well, that's life :)

Willie

One of my grand mother's was born an raised in Belfast. She came here and she was still a witch. lol. Another grand mother was born and raised in Dublin, came here and was still a wonderful person. I guess it's not where you live, it's how you live.

Myself... born, raised, and will die in Massachusetts. One side of my family has been here for 400 years, can't see going anywhere else. :)

Lived and worked in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, New York, Myrtle Beach, Hollywood, Las Vegas, Scotland, London, Nottingham, Manchester and my sexy hometown Grimsby!

I've traveled through 52 countries including 30 US States. But I'm from GREAT Britain, and as the song goes..."I know I am, I'm sure I am, I'm English 'till I die!" :D

You should have clicked Australia/New Zealand, poor chaps don't have anybody. The "Australia Oyster" could click it, but he's never been there. Ha-ha.

I grew up in Addison, just north of where you and jgpool grew up. Graduated from Addison Trail (class of 97)...same district as Willowbrook HS. Nothing like home. I still think the Chicago burbs are the best. I'd be living back there if my employer had a design center close by. But the Raleigh and Boston burbs are pretty darn good as well.

No one from Africa, Australia or New Zealand, an only 1 poster from South America!

With 10,300 members on AZBilliards now, there must be someone from those areas too!

Grew up mostly in California, both southern and northern. Spent time in the Chicago area, Florida, and now living in outside Houston. Most of my pool playing has been in Southern California, and San Francisco.

Finland ! Technically not Scandinavia and definitely not Russia, but that's the area I picked. It should've also contained "Nordic Countries" to have my beloved country included. Go Mika !

Hey, you're a Scandinavian in my eyes :D

From Wikipedia:

Scandinavia is a historical and geographical region centered on the Scandinavian Peninsula in Northern Europe which includes the three kingdoms of Denmark, Norway and Sweden.[1][2] The other Nordic countries, Finland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands, are also sometimes included because of their close historic and cultural relations to Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.[3][4][5]

In linguistics and cultural studies, the definition of Scandinavia is expanded to include the areas where Old Norse was spoken and where the North Germanic languages are now dominant. As a linguistic and cultural concept, Scandinavia thus also includes Iceland and the Faroe Islands.[6]

As a cultural and historical concept, Scandinavia can include Finland as well (of the larger region Fenno-Scandinavia), often with reference to the nation's long history as a part of Sweden. Although Finland is culturally closely related to the other Scandinavian countries, the Finns form a distinct linguistic and ethnic group, with a Finno-Ugric population that has incorporated features from both Eastern and Western Europe
