Where are our JOSS experts?

Can one of our Joss experts (SROBER40, CHOPDOC, GARCZAR) confirm the year/model of this JOSS for me? I saw one like it on ebay being sold from Japan, but the listing did not identify the model. This was a one-owner, all original cue, bought new from Cue and Cushion in STL decades ago...and, more or less, stored away until the owner passed. Two shafts and in really nice shape. (Also scored two Fellini cases with it as well)

looks like a 80's model. what color are the letters in the joint rings? white letters would be earlier and then they switched to gold iirc. is there a logo on buttcap? might contact Steven at JOSS for exact model/date.
Gold letter. Blank buttcap.

Mid to late 80s, Early 90s I am guessing. I have looked through what resources I have, no luck yet. I would definitely contact Joss.

I'm still looking though.

Every time a Joss comes up I wish I had saved their entire archive.

Lesson learned. I am working on saving others like Meucci, Viking, Falcon, and others.

That's a really nice example, and the condition is amazing. I would love to see the Fellini cases too.

I will take some photos of the Fellini's soon to share in this thread.

I found these pics on my drive but no date or record of where I got them. Your cue model is pictured. I have that jump cue and got it in 1991 or 1992. So I am thinking your cue may be a later model "gold letter" in the early 90's.

EDIT:

I just found where I got those pictures from. LINK

Maybe contact the member that posted them. He might know the model.

EDIT: Some catalog pics. Maybe getting closer. LINK

IIRC, the joint letters changed from white to gold in late 1986. I own an ‘85 white letter Joss.

Could be right. I have a 1984 Joss with white lettering in the joint collars. Before 1984, I believe was the Diamond Series with the dashes in the middle of the joint collar, but I'm not 100% on that. It would be neat if someone has a lettered collar that says 1983. And none of the pictures above are close up on the joint to tell if the letters are white or gold.

It could be a #19 from the catalog with this cover.
It seems like there were versions with plain maple veneers, green veneers, and red veneers. I am not sure if they were the same model with different veneers, or considered separate models.

Here are some with dates. I have a 1985 also just not in these pictures.
