Where are the pool players in AZ?

Is there like some secret pool room in the Phoenix area that I don't know about or something? I go to the pool room (mostly Kolby's) on Friday and Saturday night and I'm the only pool player in the joint! I never see another player unless it is on the night of a tournament. I don't get it. Where the hell is everyone (anyone)?
 
Wait, so you say there are 2 other players in AZ besides Jimmy, and one goes to MD to play, and the other to MS? I don't get it......
 
Jimmy is just lamenting the fact that he can't get a game here in town. No one wants to gamble against him because no one in this town wants to get better, when they can stay at the same rating and rob people.

Ted, I can't handle Jimmy's game. But I might give you a shot. At the very least, You, Jimmy, Chucklez and I could get together and hit some.

You know, now that I think about it. There are only a handful of guys here in town that can handle Jimmy's game.

You visit L.A. periodically - is the action any better? It seems that most of the action is east of the Mississippi. Tournament play seems to satisfy most shooter's appetite for competition. Can you stay in one city and make $50K a year (shooting pool) - year after year?

No (period). Unless your Earl Strickland or Johnny Archer and you have a sponsor.

Absolutely not. But I work for a living, so I'm not looking to make a living playing. I would just like to be in a pool room where there are some other players once in a while.
