Sorry for the thread cr@pping, but where did you play from? I played outa Slaak, Rotterdam. But now I have my own table in my Texas home!

It is either Crown Billiards or Gold Crown billiards
In New london Ct.
they have a 6x12 brunswick table you can play for a flat fee all day. Call first because I heard they were trying to sell it.

264 S Frontage Rd, New London, CT (860) 439-1676

It's a 6x12 brunswick. Not sure what kind of cloth is on it but the table plays good. generous pockets. It is for sale on ebay.

Here is the item number on ebay.

Thanks very much for the link, Steven. If I had the room for the 6 x 12 I'd be sorely tempted to buy it.

There's a 5 x 10 in Portsmouth, NH at a pub named Coat of Arms.

np.
there is a couple of 5x10 tables in Memphis I've played. One is on Beale St. at Peoples billiards. I can't remember the name of the other place.
It seems that to make up for the smaller size they tighten up the pockets quite a bit. The best word for these "little" tables might be Brutal.
btw, Beale st. is always a good time, worth the trip from anywhere.

I'm not sure when I might make it back to Memphis, but if I do I'll definitely check for snooker tables.

Apparently there are a crapload of snooker tables in Houston now, presumably due to an influx of immigrants who play. 6 x 12 tables, too.

I wish the United States Snooker Association had the time, money, and/or interest to maintain a list of pool halls that have snooker tables. Even with Google it's hard to find snooker tables, given that many pool halls don't have web sites.

Rush, I'm going to putting my list of snooker tables in the U.S. online within the next two weeks. I've confirmed that about 170 different sites have snooker tables, so if you take trips anywhere in the U.S. you might want to bring your cue. (Speaking of which, what cue do you own?)

There are two sites in Connecticut that still had snooker tables as of 6 May:

Crown Billiards (one 6 x 12)
264 S Frontage Rd
New London CT
(860) 439-1676

Inn at National Hall (one, probably a 5 x 10)
2 Post Rd W
Westport CT
(203) 221-1351

I talked to the owner of Crown Billiards. Nice guy. It sounds like the snooker table hardly gets used. I'm hoping to play on it within the next few weeks.

Apparently the 5 x 10 at Rhode Island Billiards & Bistro in Providence has been taken out.

There's also Snookers in Springfield, Mass., which has a 6 x 12 table in a banquet room. Currently, though, you can only play on the snooker table if you rent the banquet room, which is separate from the pool room.

Snookers Billiard Club (one 6 x 12)
1791 Boston Rd
Springfield MA
(413) 543-5188

hey rethunk, did you verify that the table in springfield is really a 6x12? i've been there but have never seen the table. a guy there told me it was a 5x10.

I talked to an employee rather than the owner, so I don't have a good way of verifying. That's true for about 1/3 or more of all the places in the U.S. I called.

I'm not sure when I can make it out to Springfield, but I'd like to head out there this summer. It looks like my wife and I will be able to stop by Crown Billiards in Connecticut within the next month.
