Where do you go at the end of a long night?

Some people go to breakfast, some people go home to sleep, and some people head to the 24 hour pool hall. Where do you go?

Personally i don't think theres anything better than headin over and grabbin some breakfast in the morning after you've had a long night. Some of my favorite times were spent sittin in a Waffle House as the sun comes up talkin to my partner about how we had just snapped somebody off. Or how good we did in the tournament. Then headin home to get some sleep, only to get up that night and go do it again.

I do not do the night thing much any more. When I was an OTR Trucker running in the Flatbed Division, most nights were spent driving down the open road to make an a.m. delivery.

Now most nights are spent in front of the T.V., at the local Pool Room, or at a local Pool Tournament.

Really hate going out after dark because of all the crazy, & or drunk drivers in a hurry to die.

Years ago I played until 2:00 am, went home, dropped in bed, got up at 5:00 am, went to work, worked construction - outside most of the time, took a power nap instead of lunch, another power nap after I got home, and then went to pool room to catch any action around 6:00 pm ----- just had to play every chance I got.

I love the Waffle House YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!;) I first of all like to count my money to see what I'm up on the night and to check and see if anyone has put a move on me LOL! Depending on what time it is and if there's a tournament early the next day or if I have a match set up is how I decide on what I do. I love to go home and take a shower to get the smoke smell off me. Throw on some fresh clothes if Im going out again. I prefer to just stay up all day and do the 48 hours of action marathon but sometimes you just dont fell like doing that. I remember doing that a couple of years ago when I was about 15 and 16 and I miss those days :(

Hell yeah. I like the grilled chicken dinner meat lovers myself. With scrambled eggs with cheese! A double order of hashbrowns! Damn I'm hungry! LOL

We used to close the pool room and go to Denny's. half way thru eating someone would start jawing about how they drilled soandso, and then it's back to the pool room for a grudge match!.....good times.....G

I usually went straight to the Bicycle Club to deposit my days winnings at the Pan 9 table. If I wasn't there by 3 a.m., a limo pulled up outside Hard Times to wait for me. Once in awhile though, they'd let me go to Denny's first. One time at Denny's, I lost $600 on spinning a silver dollar and calling heads or tails. I lost 11 spins in a row. Ha, the Bike didn't get me that night, I showed them.:D

yeah waffle house is my favorite too, i cant get enough grilled chicken. me and my partner used to go eat breakfast in the morning and then hit up the noon tournament that day. by the end of the tournament we were so delirious we would just laugh at people for no apparent reason. it pissed them off but i just thought it was funny as hell

Late Night????

Years ago while on a road trip, we got into L.A. about 2AM andwent straight to Hardtimes.
We parked and headed for the front door. As I reached for the door, Ronnie Allen is walking out and says, " what in the world are guys doing here this time of night">
We told him we had just gotten in town and we were just taking a look.
Ronnie says, "get the hell out of here, there are only three kinds of people out this time of night,Gypsies,Whores, and thieves"!
After all these years and now at 54 yrs lod, I understand what he meant.

I really hate those of you who live close enough to an "Awful" House to go regularly! I have very fond memories of college nights spent having fun only to end with the crew at one of the various "Awful" Houses in Springfield, MO.

Now, I'm stuck in Northwestern Illinois & the best I can do is watch Baraks, Bowman, Bowman, or Hernandez shoot some quality pool & find whatever 24 hour food joint that I can stomach. Well, on nights where I don't have to work the next day...

I swear...getting old will kill me one day! ;)
