Where do you purchase your masterpieces?

I guess it would depend on your definition of "Masterpiece" I have kind of a function over form philosophy. I recently bought a four point Purple Heart sneaky Pete from Paul Dayton for my son's birthday. I have to say that that stick plays as well as any cue I've ever hit. So if you're looking for a starter, I would suggest you consider going with a sneaky or a merry widow from a reputable custom cue maker.

Throw a quick question out there.. Where do you buy your masterpiece cues, your one of a kind cues from the legendary cue makers?.... I spent a good part of last nite just buried in the Internet looking at some of the most beautiful cues Ive seen thus far in my life (I'll Post pics in another post) and I was wowed.. From the TADs, to the incredible Gina, to hercek, Scruggs...... Absolutely gorgeous.... We play this sport, and the weapons we play with are works of art.... No other sport I can think has tool that's used to play with and can be considered a work of art........ I was looking at websites such as www.jjcue.com, www.cornerstonecues.com, and www.indyq.com.

I was wondering if anyone has purchased a cue from either of those sites, are they reliable?

I'm definitely not buying one of those cues..... Yet as from earlier posts I'm preparing for my first starter cue..... But i like planning for the future, and who doesn't appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship that goes into those legendary cues

Yet what's funny, is the the best pool players in the world don't really care how much the cue in their hands cost, unless it's a donation, or being paid to play with it.

I acquired my Prewitt cue through Bill Grassley at Cornerstone Cues a a few years ago and have remained in contact with him
because he's just a great guy to know.......best trade in policy in the industry. I can present back my cue at any time and get full
value towards a higher priced cue as long as mine remained in good, original condition without any regardless of the length of
time since I purchased my cue. Cornerstone offers a tremendous selection of cues.....realistic pricing........trustworthy & courteous
and a incredible trade back policy in case you subsequently became disapppointed with the cue you bought or because you
spotted a bigger, better cue that Bill brought in that you'd rather have. Bill knows a great deal about cue-makers and can offer
assistance or guidance becasue he is not interested in closing the sale. He wants you to make the best decision and if that results
in a sale, all the better.......thanks Bill.....this cue is just wonderful.......wish I had gotten one more EP before he stopped using ivory.

I bought a cue directly from the maker, Pat Diveney. That man is as fair and honest as a businessman can be. There was an unintentional error in the description of the cue I purchased. When I brought it to his attention, he made good on the correction, including the shipping, all on his insistence. I highly recommend Pat and wouldn't think twice about dealing with him again. Also, his craftsmanship is impeccable.

There are many excellent cue makers. Specifically in which makers do you have serious interest. I am certain that there is a fellow member of AZ that with have a perfect cue for you.

Although not as involved as we once were, we're still around and dealing from time to time.
