I was just wondering if anyone has any road players in thier area and what kind of games have been played? Give all the details please=)

Sorry, I don't know many of the road players out there. Besides, chances of meeting one of them would be slim since i have ever changing schedules.cdavis9771 said:

There has been a guy at our room a couple of times the last two weeks. Has played in weekly tournament. He has played a couple of guys but for some reason people seem to think he is a road player. And he might be. He plays well but cannot tell if he is holding back. He ended up 1 set up on two differnt players and they quit. Maybe someone has heard of him or not. Rumor was he was from Chicago and was known to play with Ike Runnels. Not sure though.
His name is Efren Suarez. At least he signed up with that name. I asked him if he was ever compared to the other Efren and he just smiled. Very quiet guy.

Efren Suarez played in the Jay Swanson Memorial evetn last weekend - he did Ok - finished somewhere around the top 24 or 32 I think.

You aren't far from Break Time in Wilmington, NC. There is usually someone there ready to play. They also have a 1st Tuesday Tournament (1st Tues. of the month duh) where they add $250 with only a $15 entry fee (all of it goes in the pot for payoff). Often brings players down from Raleigh, and eastern SC. Usually between 40-50 players. some strong competition can be seen and of course they often match up for side action. If nothing else you can see some good games.

Yeh, I found that out last night and looked it up. He finished out of the money in 64th bracket. He got knocked out by az's Jimmy Mendoza.
He has been hanging around Gilroy and Santa Cruz the past month, excluding his trip to Hollywood.. Can't quite figure out how good he really is.
