Is my system not working or did another valuable thread get deleted?...and why for g_d's sake? Did someone say a bad word or did someone let others' words hurt them and think they have no other outlet but pretending that the thread never existed and therefore the knowledge accumulated there never existed, either? It lived and made a positive difference to some, even if it is now dead. RIP thread, RPI.

Why the fear of words???

Looks like it got removed from the public eye. What was the thread creators Screen Name, and did you post in that thread? You can always try to look it up by searching through your past posts to see if it is still there or not.

I looked through your previous posts and either it was removed or you didnt post in it.

Thank you, Icon of sin, for your help. I posted in it, that's why I was looking for it.

These emotionally-based revisions of history really waste a lot of time and make the AZ experience much less valuable. :( :( :(

Perhaps Freddy chose to delete it?

IIRC, he and Shinobi had come to an agreement with Roy Rogers re: the matter. Perhaps the deletion of both .pdf and thread were the set of terms...

I was hoping that's what happened, but even that makes the others' posts a waste of time and energy, which is sad. I don't like that feature on AZ and wish it were not allowed. If a person doesn't want to talk about (or read about) something, don't start a thread on the subject.

Last I checked only mods and admin can delete threads. ...now he may have requested it.

we both requested it

Mr Shinobi and I contacted AZ mgt and together requested an end to the thread. Mr Shinobi and I came to an amicable agreement. I thank all that presented an opinion.

A perfect example.

Some are getting a lot of good excercise jumping to conclusions. ( Heath )

I only jump to conclusions because those with moderator priviledges never seem to offer one.

I assume you're talking about me, cuz you didn't name any names. The only conclusion I jumped to was that a valuable thread was deleted even though many people were part of the discussion and were thus negatively affected by the deletion. That is a fact, btw.

That thread was started with a real problem. The parties involved used that thread to solve their problem and others contributed to the discussion and others reading about it learned some valuable stuff, too. A very successful thread, I'd say, wouldn't anyone? So, the only thing to do when peaceful, successful resolutions to problems are created in the thread, is to delete it??!! What a stupid waste of value!

That thread started when one party had a grievance with a second party. A number of people offered opinions towards a solution. The second party became aware of the thread and an amicable solution was agreed upon. Both parties felt they had said things during the initial exchange that they didn't want to leave up for posterity. Both parties asked to have the thread removed and AzB obliged. What's the problem ? It seems that some people will use any opportunity to take a shot at the decisions of the Moderators. (all imo of course)

Okay, someone has stolen Doug's name.

Surely this can't be Doug.

But just in case it is everyone better give him a rep.
