Can anyone tell me where is the best place to buy leather wraps. Also are leather wraps made out of a special type of leather with a certain thickness. Can I go to the local leather supplier and buy the wraps or do I have to buy them from a special place and get them.

JWPetree, he is on here all the time, he will probably post within the hour actually. He has good leather, and good pricing. OR Maybe he is shipping my order, and that is why he is not on here :)

I sell both pig leather prints and real lizard and snake wraps. You can see all of the pig prints here:

Tiger Products also sells them, as well as Atlas and Hightower. We all have a little different product, just a matter of what you want, really.

Let me know if I can help.

I would recommend JWP.

We will be debuting a new line of X Breakers, and will be offering leather wrap and wood handles as our only two options. So we have been looking for some nice leather wraps.

I need to find some a source with precise and prompt delivery, great quality, is reliable and easy to deal with.

I have ordered and received some samples from JWP, and they were outstanding. The thickness on them were very uniform, the leather stain looked great, and they are absolutely not any worst, if not better, than any of the major leather blank suppliers in my opinion.

So, I have decided to order some larger quantity from JWP. Due to some unforseen situation, I needed them really urgently. I really did not want to be difficult, but I had to ask him to please get me over 100 blanks in about two days.

JWP did not only offer me good quality, he went out of his way to send me the goods via FedEx. Not only that, he also offered to include more blanks just in case. Mind you, I did not ask him any of these, he was just offering them because he thought that would make life much easier for me.

He sent me PM, and emails, during the whole time, and was very attentive.

I am very impressed with his service, and his attention to details. I would consider him very reliable and sells very high quality leather blanks.

Tiger is a very good leather manufacturer, and I am sure their service is also top notch. I have also ordered from Atlas, and Hightower before.

My experience with JWP has been fantastic, that is why I would highly recommend him.

I do not think you can go wrong with his leather. They are very nice and consistent.

Here is a leather wrap I did using a blank from JWP.

Thank you.

I saw this site, wondering if anybody has any experience with it:

http://www.cuegrip.com/

Also, I know predator has stopped making the ultra leather wrap. I liked this wrap as it never got sticky and am looking for a replacement wrap. I don't like the stack leather wrap as it did feel a bit sticky. Does anybody have any suggestions about what type of leather to take?

thanks!

If you use the stack wrap and sand it but then put no additional finish on it, it will give you a suede like feel. This might be the way to go

I know this is something of personal taste but I see a lot of different type of leathers. I see aligator, snake, pig etc.

I would like to know in terms of comfort, does anybody have experience with these type of leathers?

I would like a nice soft leather which does not feel sticky even when you start sweating. Maybe some people can write down their leather experiences? Would help me a lot in choosing a wrap.

Thanks!

I got some leather from JW Petree and can say that it outstanding quality! I will be some more!

Yeps I understood that JW provides great quality. And I intend to buy my wrap from him. However, I am more talking about feel. There are leathers that are very sticky, others are very smooth and soft etc.

Just wondering if people could write feedback on the types of leather they have experience with (pig, snake, croc etc.)

Thanks in advance!

Predator stopped using "Ultra Leather" in favor of Tiger's "Bull Leather" (this is what a Leather P2 would have on it now).

The Ultra Leather would peel off very easily and would show signs of wear very, very fast. They also had to use a very deep wrap channel groove for that stuff.

We actually have 19 distinctly different types of leather. We only list our standard pieces on the website. You have to call or email to see what other goodies we have.

By the way, Atlas and Prather carry our entire line of leather.
