Where to find Dufferins for conversions?

which Dufferins? I can't imagine you could possibly find any of the pre China ones in decent shape, at least not easily, although there's a ton of old timers around my parts that still own them
as it happens, I'm popping by the big chain game store tomorow that carries most of the line with a ton under $100
I need another bar banger and with any luck they will let me hit a bunch of em, I'll let you know the quality nowadays, although I suspect, ironically quite high just checking out the site

I've seen Keith Josey advertise his conversions as low as $250 and his basic sneakys are around 375-400 so there appear to be value in a sub $100 dufferin in that regard

I find a ton of stuff at antique shops, junk shops, resale shops, goodwill, estate sales and pawn shops.
The key is patience. I hit the same places almost monthly. Things always seem to pop up out of nowhere.
My last find was on a trip out of town. 7 Brunswick Tru-Balance cues buried in the corner of an antique shop. Got them for 6 bucks a cue. All 6 of them were in great shape. I see the Duffs turn up at pawn shops all the time.

I am meeting a guy Saterday , says he has 20 old cues , maybe 1 good one I hope . Jim
Dufferin Sticks
HI Guys,
I have 3-4 Dufferin sticks made in Canada. These were house stick that came with my first antique table in 1996. They say made in Canada on the rubber butt cap, and there is a Dufferin logo in plastic at the end. They are one piece. The wood appears to be like a Rosewood, however, the 18 has no County of Origin marking and the wood is not the same. I would have to take them upstairs and test the roll on my table. They have been in a storage closet for years. They were used a few times by friends of my daughters' so they would keep their mitts off my good cues. I think these would be only suitable for sneaky pete's. They to not have veneers. The points are bridges, not seamed.
Are these what you have in mind?
