I might be going to L.A. mid next week. So where are some of the good spots to play? Or even buy a new cue?

Looking for a place close to LA ex... if possible?

thxs,

Hardtimes is I think 20 miles away. Take the 105 east, then 710 south, then 91 east. Exit Bellflower and turn Right on Bellflower blvd. Should be closeby.

You will be close to Mr. Lucky's on Hawthorne Blvd. at Torrance Blvd. On the Northeast corner, down about 200 yards in the small shopping center.

hardtimes has a nice handicapped b tournament at 7pm on thursdays and the sunday of next week is the first sunday of the month with $1000 added which draws most of the good players in the area, starts at 1. the sunday tournament is definitley worth going to if you can.

I'm not Jay, but no, Underdog quit his Breakzone Billiards in Torrance after trying to get a liquor permit at that strip mall.

Nope. He now has a Billiard Supply shop in the Cerritos/Bellflower area. I'm a little slow here. I was in a Poker tourney on-line. Just flopped a set of fives and went down in flames to a Straight on the turn.

Hard Times can be hard to spot the first time. After you turn right on Bellflower it is about 2 blocks down on the left. It is in the middle of block long retail building. Parking is in the back.

Rackem Billiards is good for some action, but mostly on Fri and Sat nites. It is off the 110 fwy, east on Carson Blvd about 5-6 bolcks down on the left side.

Enjoy your stay and the traffic!!

The 1st light (within 50 yards) is Artesia Blvd. Get over to your left as the next light is Ramona and you need to turn left. 20 yards and you turn left into the parking lot. Don't miss going there if at all possible. As mentioned, the 1st Sunday of the month is $1000,00 added and it normally draws 96 players.

Dave told me he lost the lease to a gym, he expanded it once and had alot of space but when the lease was up they liked 24hr Fitness or who ever it is better than him even though he was established, he has a retail billiard supply shop around the corner from Hardtimes, Dave told me this personally in the parking lot of hardtimes a couple months ago. He didnt seem bitter about it but wasnt happy either-he is a great guy. I cant remember if he said if he wanted another room, he told me -I just cant remember. But I'm 100% on the gym comming in behind him.

We have to talk about me staking you in future poker events ;) , I'd rather put you in action giving Efren the 7 ball even $$$, winner breaks. Stick to hearts or Yahtzee. ;)

for the record, i havent staked Jay in anything, just talking trash at 436 am with jet lag
