Tournaments in Santa Monica make no sense. No way to get money added or discount on table time so it is simpler to just match up. We are well represented in any 1 pocket tourneys that crop up. There is supposed to be a $1500 added tourney at Alex's place Stix in Rancho Cucamonga in mid Sept. I know a number of us will be playing in it.
You live in So. California, where did you get the idea that we are afraid of straight up action??? Do we know each other? Just curious.

Sorry Wayne. The other guy and I had been going back and forth a couple post. It was a joke. I was being sarcastic about how this thread has been. I was in at the beginning.
I live by Alex's room. That's where I usually play. I haven't played much one hole. I didn't know much about SM but this thread led me to believe it was a 1 hole room. I thought they may have a little weekly tourney or something. That would let me get my feet wet in a game that I don't get to play much, but like to watch/play.
I believe hard times has a small one unless that's changed. Ill probably go that way.

Sorry I wasn't paying attention. It should be a good tourney at Alex's next month. The Hardtimes one pocket is first Saturday at 1pm. $20 entry and race to 2 winners side race to 1 loser side. Worst case scenario you get to play 2 rounds for $20. About what it would cost in table time in Santa Monica.
I did remember a funny post you made early on about how someone pissed people off and it would be great if that were an asset. Gave me a chuckle. Say hi if you make it to Hardtimes or to play or watch at Alex's.

yeah i heard you have been in there 300 times and never got a game and end up playing bumper pool cause everyone is scared of you.
note: the hard times one pocket will be on the 31st. Usually first Saturday but exception when Sunday is on the 1st.
Oh, many more times than 300. In fact there was a day a bit before the big hard times tourney that SVB was at Alex's. I had to start a thread to let everyone know that after I told him I played in the APA years ago he ran out of the room. Guess he couldn't fade that experiance.
Or I guess it could have been the fact that I didn't actually tell him, and he was leaving with his girl. But I knew, that he knew, what I knew.
Also I was there years ago and played efren even. It was only like a $20 set. I would have played for more, but he probably would have wanted weight. I didn't ask, but didn't need to. Sometimes you just know.... You know how those damn lock artist can be.
Oh, and they don't have any bumper pool sadly enough. I get stuck playing pinball, or metal slug.
At least the pinball machine is willing to gamble a game or 2 if you show enough speed.
Careful our intel reports say that Wayne is a lock artist on the bumper pool table as soon as he figures out how to score the dang game.
Yeah I am going to St Louis this week to see my 3 cousin. There is a pool hall there where a famous guy on AZ billiards plays. I have visited 3 or 4 times over the years, with about 20 sessions at that pool hall and I have never gotten a game. I have tried everything, asking everyone, going and hiding in the corner and slipping out, asking the houseman who plays for $10 and nothing. I always end up playing bumper pool for shits and giggles.
I am checking my intel, text messages, emails and calls and everyone tells me it is because I am lock artist who will not give a fair game on the bumper table.
