where to play in NY city

Never been to NY but the obvious seems to be Amsterdam.

Bingo. Amsterdam Billiard Club, corner of 4th Avenue and 11t Street in East Greenwich Village, which is one of the nicest neigborhoods in Mananttan. By subway, you get out at 14th Street - Union Square.

If you happen to be on the upper east side, you can check out Eastside Billiards at 86th St. between 3rd Ave. and Lexington. It's not really a player's room, but it's nice and the crowd is friendly.

Come to Master Billiards if you want action, if you're looking for a game you can PM me.

I will be attending a conference. Any suggestions on where to play?
Amsterdam is a great pool hall with great equipment, but be prepared to wait in line for a table.

What part of NYC are you going to be in? Is this your first trip to the Big Apple?

Yes, if you're going to visit Amsterdam, try to make a point of visiting during the day. The leagues will create a bit of a wait for you. Thursdays are always a fun day to stop by since most of the room's better players are there.

BTW: Jude is a great resource re: Amsterdam as I believe it is his home room. You could check with him re: league nights, table time, snacks, wireless internet, and people that you might run into.

Skyline Billiards in Brooklyn. We got the best tables in NYC. 4 tight joints and is a players room. Anyone can get a game from split time to $1000+ sets any day of the week.
2515 McDonald Ave
