where to play in raleigh

Raleigh Pool Halls

Since I'm the owner I feel Babaineau's on Buck Jones road is the nicest. Many places to play in Raleigh most of them have only 9 footers. Not much bar box action here in Raleigh.

Paul is probably a little biased, since he owns Babineaus. I have no financial interest, and will still agree that Babineaus is one of the nicest rooms in the state. And Paul is a great guy.
Go hungary! The food is top notch in addition to some great tables!

I didn't see anything on the website about tournaments? Do you have any?

I have played all around this area, The Brass Tap is nice for some action, but Babineaus is still my favorite place to just play and have fun. They have some good players too.

tournament this weekend

Running qualifiers for Jacoby Tour event scheduled at Babineau's the weekend of Jun.6

11:30 Saturday 8 man single elimination 9 ball race to five. $10 entry and winner gets free entry into the June 6 Jacoby Event. As long as we can get 8 players we will be running qualifiers until all day Saturday.

Check with Varney on here.

There is some great easy action in the area....look up Mike Fuller or Robert Ray. They don't play too well so you may have to offer a large spot....but I'm sure they would be willing to bet high.:D

There is some truth in this statement!! They are both great guys too bad Robert had to close his place. Tuff times for many, my vote is for The Brass Tap got a great weekly handicapped tournament on Thursday. Tony and Peewee are some of the best anywhere.

Those guys are Tony Coates the owner of the Brass Tap and BTW Johnny Archer's married to his daughter. Peewee works with Tony and runs all the tourneys with him. They have several three day events that are always booked full field.
Good People, good players my favorite place to play in NC. Cannot wait to get back there.
