And don't tell me in an envelope under a table in Brighton:D

Tony Ruberto, etal, killed it. It will be dead as Tony's action until Lil Jon gets HIS money back TOO. Yes, Tony admitted to getting his money back so he obviously knows who took the cash or he took it himself. Give Lil Jon his money back Tony. Then maybe you and Boston will thrive again.

^ Don't believe the hype, he sure get's action still!.. and nothing has been proven, just speculated - we don't know what happened.

But I thought The Kiss' post was funny as hell.

Tony Roberto should be barred

 After what they did Lil JOhn up in Massachusetts I think Roberto should be barred from all pool halls and tournaments in the USA> It's no wonder pool has such a bad reputation, don't they realize what they done is a serious crime. The pool hall owner had a responsibility to get involved and didn't, so he's at fault too. What a horrible, terrible thing to happen to this countrie's best gambler (Lil John). :(

What Happened

I love action, and love to get involved in big money games.. So could some one elaborate on what happend to Lil John so i know for future reference.. I wouldnt want something bad to happen to me or anyone for that fact....

Dont' give me this southern / northern BS...We treat you right in this town if you show us the proper respect...Don't let the actions of one disrespectfull clown kill all the national action...Right now the Boston Scene is Down mostly due to the lack of the Joss tour and the right people oin the right places..

Everything is cyclical right now it is in a down cycle at the moment....We got the players it just seems no one is playing at the same time and place..

Speaking of the South I hear it is hopping in Providence

Please, also don't just blame the Joss tour for lack of action. I know that Mike Zuglan tried his damnnest to get some tourneys over there. Just that most, if not all of Mike's contacts over that way have either sold (renaissance billiards is 1) or closed. I, myself would love to see some tournaments back over there...Maybe up at country club or some place else. it seems that the smoking ban has hit alot of pool halls over there real hard. Also there are alot more tours to compete with... Over there Mike has the B/C/D tour. over here he has a tour out near syracuse and another in the southern area of NY....blaze tour i believe...to many tours and not emough players to play... and on line poker has to hold some of the blame....Money has to be real tight for no rooms wanting to have tournaments..Oh well. we can only hope that everything changes for the better......................mike

wow, what a story

Wow, I just read that thread about the 34K. I never got to see
Brighton Billiards. Is this why they closed? When I got laid
off, and started getting back into pool, I drove there and found
the room had closed up.

I also could not find that "update" thread that someone
mentioned.
