To lazy to google it. Didn’t the Ko Brothers come out with a line of tips?

Edit: Okay that was epically lazy. I could have googled it in the time it took to type my reply. Apparently they are called “Ko Pin Tips.” Made of premium naugahyde, or rather 8 layers of Japanese pigskin. 24.95 at Omega Billiards.

'Ko Tips'
Think it's cheaper to get them from their site.

My friend actually has one on his snooker cue. Plays pretty nice.

been using Kamui Black Hards for a number of years now

want to try something new, what may be an improvement or at least something fun to try?

I'm seeing bits and pieces online (i.e. possible fake reviews) around the following brands;

G2, Navigator, Zan, How Titan, and Taom

thanks in advance for your feedback
I saw a documentary where Tyler Steyer's wife said she uses Navigator Blue.

Ultraskin? Are they ribbed for her pleasure?
Yo....don't steal anymore of my jokes....there will be consequences! JK, JK....I've been buying and installing these Ultraskins for years now on my cues after abandoning Kamui. Ultraskins are the best value proposition in the tip world that I've found, bar none. I can't see how you can beat it....$20 for a tip warps my mind now that I've found these.

I have a couple. I haven't installed one on my own cue yet.
Med. and the hrd. are great, just kinda depends on the cue. I have the hd. installed on one of my Mezz shafts(W700 shaft) and it hits really sweet. More of a med/hrd imo.

Tip threads usually end up here. Ultraskin tips have the quality without being over priced.

I use the Ivory medium tip.

I have been using an outsville ki tech for years. Im ready to try something else. It doesnt seem to hold taom chalk very well. Is the kamui medium a good tip?

I used ki tech for a few years but pooldawg8 tips can give them the 7 out. They hold Taom V10 really well.

Honestly I'm not a fan of Kamui. Many love them. I prefer a ZAN brand tip to Kamui. About the same price but no glazing like with the Kamui.

I'm surprised so many are having glazing issues with Kamui. My favorite tip. I've tried others over the years figuring I'm way overpaying but I never liked any of them enough to put another one on over a Kamui. Having read this thread tho, I will have to try an Ultraskin next.

One fix for glazing and probably why I never got any is a $2-3 sanding block from a hardware store that I use as a tip tool. It's basically the same as the Kamui tip sander but 20x cheaper. I guess they're made to be used hand in hand with the sander for upkeep.

I would say glazing is probably from people not maintaining their tips. Pretty much everyday i use my Last4ever tool on my tip maintaing that perfect nickel radius. My tips have been lasting over 6 months plus.

I was using Moori Tips for years. The last tip i had was a Morri 3. I replaced it with a 4 and i didn't like it. Since the 3 was not available i went looking for a new tip. I went to Amazon and found out the Kamui was the most popular selling tip. It was $25, so i bought it. I've spent more money on dumber things. I've been uaing them since without any glazing issues.

What do you people expect? someone to put a tip on your cue and never have to touch the damn thing again? The tip is the most important part of the cue it's what touches the ball. It should be maintained properly and often.

Kamui tips are a waste of money in my opinion. Super popular though…great marketing. I had to constantly fuss with it for glazing and shape. Since I switched to Ultraskin, and SIB tips I don’t have this problem. My tip shaper is dusty with real dust not tip dust.
