which are the most famous and also sold many?mostly imported cues or the us made cue?can you list some brand and the approx :cool: quantity also?

In the US, I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be "Minnesota Fats" brand cue sticks. They are sold in general sporting goods stores. Often they go for less than $30, which is very inexpensive for a jointed cue but not a very good value. I think MF is the player most likely to be mentioned by most people who play pool. Made in China.

If you mean brands that the top 1% of pool players have heard of, you will get a different answer. I'd guess Cuetec is right up there due to their sponsorship of top pro players and their marketing. If you mean brands that are very highly regarded by that top 1%, you will get a different answer again. I think most of the people on this forum are in that top 1% or even 0.1%.
 
as much as i hear about predator they would have to rank up there somewhere. at least there shafts anyway.

understand,that's why a high end customer is speaking with me to set up an economy cue line,i was surprised why they did this which might hurt their fame.

If we are not including the Chinese and Taiwan Conglomerates that have bought many of the smaller and older names in pool cues, Falcon and Balabushka are two that come to mind that are names only now !

I would have to say McDermott is one of if not the biggest owner, producer and distributer of its own Cue Lines

can anyone confirm whether mcdermott who produce mcdermott cues is the same company who produce energy and power (http://www.mcdermott.com) ? (which is in the league of General Electric, etc). i dont live in the states, but if they are still the same company or subsidiary of it, i think wal-mart or exxon should produce their own cue lines :D

Putting aside the absolute junk cues. Lucasi/Player then Fury/Sterling are probably the 2 top importers number wise. 5280 was from the same people as Action and Scorpian but they are no longer made. They do not sponsor Cory any more.
I would think that overall the #1 supplier on your end of anything with decent quality is probably KaoKao but that is just a guess.

who can list a brands list that every large companies own?for example,what brands that cue&case own?what brands cuestix own?etc?:cool:
 
I can't believe that no one has mentioned Cuetec. They are not my brand, but they are most definitely one of the most sold cues out there.
 
who know about 5280?is it sold a lot?or a big name?action and 5280,which are better known and sold more?
 
I can't believe noone has mentioned Duffrin (sp).

Everytime I've gone to a pool hall, there are more Duffrin pool sticks than any other.
 
US made is probably Viking, as far as quantity goes. Not sure of total pieces made.

When you are doing your research, keep in mind that quality over quantity matters in cues.

i preferred the qualified cues,not the junk cues,which are exported to us less than $10.or even under $6,some tips fall after several shots
