If you are only allowed to buy one of the following cue cases, which one would you buy, and why?

1. 4 butts, 6 shafts, with strap, hard tubes inside and springs ($105).

2. 4 butts, 6 shafts, with strap, vinyl exterior and satin dividers inside ($105).

3. 3 butts, 5 shafts, with strap, hard tubes inside and springs ($85).

I'm gonna buy one of them, so I would like your opinion.

None of the above.

Case # 3 has spring loaded tubes for butts and shafts and a seperate jump cue handle pocket. Very useful case. Very unpretentios but nice look.

It's driving me crazy. I've mailed some sellers. Some are telling me that the #3 they have, are only tubes for butts, and not for the shafts. Only soft cloth protecting the shafts. So if I'm right, there are differents cases around in the market

i own the smaller version of #3 it has tubes further down the pouch for the shafts. it looks like only soft cloth protecting the shafts but i'd say about 5 inches down it divides into tubes for each shaft.

So the tubes don't go all the way down to completely separate each shaft from making contact with another?

Also, does anyone have a pic with that case holding the shafts, I'd like to see how far they stick up past the tubes.

Tubes go all the way down and the shafts come up about an inch(maybe 1.25 inch) past the tube.

If I'm right, there are 2 versions of the #3. Just watch the post #15. I posted a picture, get it somewhere on the internet. You can see the tubes clearly. But the seller told me there are no tubes for the shafts. So if poolplayer2093 can take a picture of his case, I would be pleased.

Check this One out prior to buying any of those ...

Check out a Giuseppe 3 x 6 ... Can be found using a SEARCH for around $100 - $110 ... Absolutely bullet-proof construction, Butt and Shafts go in either direction ... Two good-sized pockets for all your stuff, carry handle, shoulder strap, and fantastic warranty ...

Heck, just look on the wanted & FS section. Unless you are looking for a certain type of case, you can find many 3x5 or 3x6 cases. I got a 3x5 from FAST LENNY and it's a proseries, but it suits my needs.

The trick to case number 3 is to put the shafts in joint first. That keeps you from getting chalk all over the tube and since it is "tip up", they can't touch each other when they move around. If you put them tip down, the ends of the shafts can touch each other. On this case you have to open both compartments to remove one cue.

Case 1 is similar but it has holes for butts and shafts in each compartment so you only have to open one flap to retrieve a complete cue. Both 1 and 3 are spring loaded.

Case 2 is better because it will completely enclose the cues and protect them. I have seen the top of case 2 separate on two different cases and has to be fixed with a staple gun but it was no big deal, we fixed them easily.

We also stock Guieseppe and I agree, the 3/6 from Guiseppe is better than all 3 of these.

Just my two cents.... We stock them all, and overall they're all good cases.
