Are any of these the correct one? I’m at Walmart now. Thanks!

It is not just about making the balls shiny — it’s also about how they will play after you’ve polished them up.

And while all those products will polish up your balls nicely, you’re going to get less than ideal playability.

I have found the mixture of 1 to 1.5 tbsp Aramith cleaner mixed with 1 cup of 91% isopropyl alcohol sprayed in while my cleaner is running produces consistent, high polish results. I had never heard of this but it was included in the instructions for my machine. Truly an amazing product. Since it is a suspension, it has to be shaken before spraying. That is probably why it is not marketed, but you will be VERY impressed with the results and VERY LITTLE BUILD UP of residue. Been using it for quite a few months now and wouldn't buy anything else now.

Yeah, I've had paralysis by analysis over all the different recommendations over the years. I've seen Dr Dave's videos, and this thread you linked. For several years I used my diamond ball polisher dry only, for fear of putting the wrong cleaner in it. Then I started using a tiny drop of the aramith ball cleaner that came with my super pro value set. It works ok, but still leaves lots of marks on the balls. I was looking for something that can be sprayed on. I've also never seen a pool room or a tourmanement use the aramith cleaner. They all use a spray on product.

Thanks, that's worth a try.

Maybe late here but the Meguiar's PlastX works very well. Have used it and Brillianize in a home-made bucket polisher. Both do a great job. Can't tell difference using either of these and the Aramith stuff.
I concur. It works very well.

Not a fan. It leaves the balls too slick. A local room uses that and the balls play goofy right out of the polisher and it takes about an hours worth of play for them to play properly.
This was also my experience using it in my polisher. The home made mixture I described above leaves absolutely nothing ON the ball. They just come out polished and clean.

In Dr. Dave's videos, the plain alcohol seems to be a little "grabby" or has a little more throw but it is very minimal. I find this to be a perfect solution to the problem.

The balls play the same right out of the machine as they did when they were new right out of the box. They do NOT change as the "stuff" wears off. They just get regular dirt and hand oil from play and thus I drop them in for a cleaning. I change to a new set ever few days to a week just because I like to have a different set on the table for variety and to add fun. ALL sets play very consistently.

Anudder reason to take your own set of balls.

If it’s a tournament, of course you have to suffer with the house balls. But day-to-day I don’t need something else to make the game tougher than it already is.
