Which De Walt router model# can be used with the mount that Todd sells and the mount that DanO sells for cutting rings ??

I know the Porter Cable router is model# 7310 but wondering what other options I have other than the Porter Cable. Thanks in advance...

Try the rigid 2401. I bet you will like it better than the dewalt. Todd and decocue both sell mounts for it.

I'll look into that. I already have the mount from Todd.

The Rigid router will not fit in the mount that Dano makes for cutting rings.
Todd makes a mount that fits around the Rigid that bolts on to his mount that
Works with the pc router. The Rigid has to have a body holding clamp where as the rigid has the side bolt.

I have 5 Lowes stores in my area and they're all out. :frown:

same here
and when did the price of the pc trimmers go up to $131 at lowes?
geez, last time i got a couple they were about $70, a few yrs ago

The easiest lathe mounting routers in history and my mainstay for over 25 years has come to an end. Now where do we go from here?????

I bought the last fifteen 7310's that I could find for under a $100 each to give myself some time to figure it out.

Are any of the smaller routers less than 2.50" in body diameter?

Ridgid

I'll look into that. I already have the mount from Todd.

Lee I have the Todd mount and a deco cues ridged laminate trimmer mount.

I prefer the deco mount the best.
If you buy the Ridgid trimmer buy new and get a free life time warranty on the trimmer.
all you do is send it in and they rebuild it for free.
No more buying bearing kits.........................
Home depot is the only place to them, I bought one on line as new, when it came in it was in a refurbished box, I called up the seller and said I only wanted one that was new just for the warranty.

The guy refused to let me send it back because he was only saying he had the trimmers but the truth was he would take the orders and then buy a rebuilt one from the ridged repair faculty and have them sent it to me and there was a 35 dollar restocking fee .

The seller lied about them being new, and I reversed payment and he wouldn't give me a address to sent the trimmer back to him.

Point being buy the trimmer from home depot. and get the warranty.

I have two lathe set up with the ridged trimmers and like the variable rpm control that is built in the trimmer.

I had a Portacable that the bearing were bad in that I sold to GB cues. he said he rebuilt it and it runs great.

IMO the ridged is less vibration because you can adjust the rpms .

I bought the new Porter Cable single speed laminate trimmer and found out my multi position router bracket will mount to it with a different screw in the vertical position and any position with a spacer. The new PC trimmer is made in China.

I bought all mine at grizzley. They are a green metal body and fit perfectly into porper model b router holders without mods. Been using them for years and they are about 75 bucks. No tabs in the way to mount. Can also be mounted to Hightower lathes with little mods to the mounting bolts. Hope this helps

nut & spanner wrench

Does anyone have a Precision spanner wrench & Nut for the Ridgid router they will sell ?
Precision is no longer making the precision kit for 2400 series ridged ...and are all out of stock of collet Nuts and wrench's
thanks
