I don't know the answer to your question, but if you play in one of the two Arlington tourneys, I will come out and support you.

I've been out of the loop for over three years and didn't know they had reopened a Click's Billiards in Arlington.

The Omega Tour is a finely run series of tournaments.

Edit: Nevermind...the Click's has always been at its present location. We always called it Click's II because the original Click's in Arlington was a few miles south of Click's II before it changed names and eventually closed down. And....I can't speak for Open Pockets, but you will be playing on oversized 8-footers at the other locations.

I've been to all of them and none are close to the Big Tyme Classic. There's Action all night long and there Actions 5mins down the street at Bogies all night too.

Both places are open 24hr, have 6 9footers, 10 BB and 15 8 footers, restaurants and hotels within walking distance.

Big tyme has gone 24hrs?
I had no idea that's great if true
They weren't always and haven't been in a while either

Thanks Maniac. I'll keep you posted.

As to the other tournaments, I am trying to stay close to my nephew's home in Benbrook. I've been wanting to visit them for quite some time.
Maybe I can play pool and visit.

Personally I would rather fish at Benbrook than go to one of those tournaments . Speeds, and Clicks are a little ghetto, puckets isn't much better, Azle has Diamonds (7ft) and is the nicest imo.
IMHO, DFW has the worst possible pool scene per capita of anywhere I've been in the lower 48. With that being said, it's a huge metromess with a lot of things to do besides pool.
But hell, come on!! Couple people up here who misjudged your 1 hole game and I'm tired of hearing them *****. Now they can get another shot without driving 9hrs :D

I do like Diamond Bar Tables.

That was a great and funny post in more ways than one.

Thanks for the great info.

Don't like Rusty's in Arl. or Volcano's in Hurst? I know these aren't tourn. venues OP asked about but they're pretty good places to play.

Open Table has 8 Diamond bar tables, and will be the smallest Omega stop (as far as # of players) this year due to the # of tables. Puckett's, Speed's, and Clicks all have 8ft tables. Out of those 3 locations, my personal favorite is Clicks. There's plenty of room to sit and sweat the matches, as well as tables to relax at while watching their wall of tv's.

If you're willing to wait until November, the Omega stop that month will be at a new pool room that is opening soon. That room will have a total of 52 tables, all Diamond tables. It will be located in Richardson, not too far from the Billiard Den, which is a bit of a drive from Benbrook.

Who's opening the new place?

It's a local player here in the Dallas area named Aram. It was supposed to open in Feb, but he had some issues w/ construction and it's held the whole thing up.

From what he told me, he's going to have a mix of 7ft, oversized 8ft, and 9ft Diamonds. 3-4 snooker tables, and 2 3-cushion tables. It should be a very nice place onces it's finished.
