Thanks for the info on the other places! My wife booked us in the Ramada on Kaliste Saloom Rd. for $60 a night and 5 miles from the pool room.
 
papa red--the ramada and the other hotels in that area on kaliste saloom and pinhook are in a good location and easy to get to the poolroom-straight down kaliste sa. to the t(broussard st) turn right, you will come to johnston st mcdonalds on your left and a hit and run gas station on your right. turn right and you will see white diamonds on your left.see you on aug 8th and good luck, ashley:thumbup:

Thanks Ashley, looking forward to having a good time and watching some good pool matches. If I can get in the money that would be a bonus, I enjoy play good players and watching them play.

hey robley, doing great and getting ready for the big weekend. as of today we have 72 paid entrys. the only pro-status player signed up right now that i noticed was jeremy jones:but the field is getting good with a lot of great known talent,such as; jamie farrell, gary aboud, chip compton, joey gray, david g,mike black, jason lafluer, sparky f.,bobby johnson, stoney stone,etc. the list goes on and on with alot of really good players, these i listed are only a few of the talent that will be attending. if you are reading this and have not called in and paid your enty in advance, i suggest you do soon!!!can't wait to see everyone on aug 8th and 9th, ashley:thumbup:

Hey guys best bet to get a nice place for cheap guaranteed...use priceline or hotwire.

Hotwire I find is easier to use, when I was between here and the midwest, and working offshore, and routinely got hotel rooms at the howard johnson, the Holliday Inn Express, The Hilton, and Pear Tree Inns. These are all 100+ dollar rooms, and I was checking in fifteen minutes after I got off the computer to book it, and was getting those same rooms for 40-60 a night, even got a fri,sat,sun night at the hilton for $157, a couple was checking into the type of room and they paid $137 for just Friday night. I know all of you have heard of these websites and if you travel its the best and only way to go.

Only thing is you get no choice of which hotel. You get luck of the draw out of your star choice, all the choices above are 2.5 and 3 star hotels and thats the best your going to get in Lafayette.

To me Hotwire was the easiest to use as I said and you can even set up an account and user so its more convenient. If you don't have a credit card, or debit then just go to walmart and get one of those pre-paid visas and use that.

Seriously its the nuts, I'd come in from work or the midwest and go grab a cup of coffee so I could get the internet and I'd be done before I took two sips.
