I read a thread last week about white diamond tips and went to ebay and bought some. I've just finished shooting with it and couldn't wait to post a thread. Tap-Tap-Tap!! It's also a good playable tip. Ran a rack and didn't miscue once. Got plenty of draw and english. Makes me wonder if I can break,shoot, and jump with the same cue! Seriously though, these tips REALLY jump well. Take a step up!! Don
 
I don't know about shooting with one but breaking and jumping I agree with you. I have used white diamond tips for over a year now and will use nothing else on my break cue and my jump cue.

I put them on my B/J cues and Love them...Dink...Plunk...Plop:D :D :D
It is like breaking with my .357 Magnum. Dart style jumps are so easy to control cue ball.

Joe ships super fast and does not rip you a new one on the shipping like most e-pay sellers.:)

I got mine from Joe too.I was surprised I wasn't outbid.I am curious though as to how to you cut them down to fit the tip. I used a dremmel and it worked but there has to be another way. [no lathe at my house] Don

If you have a drill and a pin that fits the shaft you use the dremmel while spinning to trim the tip. If your handy it's really pretty easy.

i have tried EVERY cue/tip combo for a J/B cue out there.

i mean EVERY one.

my predator break cue with a white diamond tip os the best BY FAR.

not even a close second.

I am glad to hear so many good things about the tips; I have three on the way! Unfortunatly my B/J cue won't be done for a while.
 
I just got three and I can't wait to install and try them. If they are as good as people say, I know I'll be happy.:D :D :D :D :D
 
I just bought mine fom Joe after getting feedback here a couple weeks ago. They are going on the cues this weekend. Good to hear someone actually played with one vs just breaking or jumping. I was curious how they played. Sounds like a winner.

You will Love them. I had them put on a $75.00 Sterling B/J and it made all the difference in the world. The Cue was pretty much unusable, it could make a long jump, but would not short jump Dart style, and I was
not happy with how I was breaking with it. Now I just love it, man it breaks hard and jumps are super easy.:)

I also had one put on one of my shafts for my Cuetec B/J so I could compare the stock tip to it. The White Diamond gets the ball up way faster & easier than the original. Ball control is much better on long jumps and the break is "CRACK - POW" . I will be be placing another order soon.:D
 
I just got back from the pool hall where the owner put 2 WD's on my It's George jump cue and a Joss break shaft. It was his first time working with these tips for him and he said they were a challenge to get fit to both cues because they are so hard. Took an hour for each cue to get done. Flawless work though.

Now for the hit. My my my. I didn't get much time to play with em but distance jumping with a full cue is effortless. Jumping with the jump cue at very close distances(5 or less inches) between the cueball and the ball needing jumped was very easy. Also hit a few balls around with the break cue and the tip is playable for regular shots/english. The sound is distinctive and loud. It will get everyone's attention around you. Even if hitting softly. Ping Ping Ping lol. Not the tip I would recommend for regular play but it can be done. I haven't had the chance to break yet.

So far, I am pleased with the purchase.

I also use the piccone phenolic white diamond tip...it really is a good tip for breaking. However, after hours, days, weeks of massive breaking, I have experienced the worst that I hate to do...that is to put a new tip it!! the WD phenolic tip after many hours and hours of breaking will delaminate or chip off! Dependin gon how strong u break em balls. Yes delaminate! As what Piccone is selling them. These are phenolic layered tip...hmmm... I have change 4 already...let me know your results later on, guys. just my two cents. easy

Mine hold chalk like leather. Mine do not crack, break apart...hence they come with a lifetime guarantee. Plus mine do not draw any unwanted attention...as they are not white!:D
 
I have never had one problem with a whitediamond tip nor have I received any unwanted attention. One person in the year+ I have been using them has noticed and suggested I get a new tip. Then he looked closer and noticed the white tip. I have never had one break apart or crack nor have I ever heard of that happening. This is just my opinion from my experience - it is not like I am a cue maker pushing my break tip on you or anything.
