White joint material

I'm looking for a white joint material besides ivory. I know atlas sells MP-Ivory, and Aegis-II, but i don't like the color of aegis, and i have no experiece with MP-ivory. Can someone tell me of a good material that is durable, and will finish well?

Grice...Atlas has some in limited quanities and I think Prather does too. Bryan Mordt uses it that I know of.

Atlas also sells Ivorine III which can be used for the joints.

I have used the MP-Ivory, for 15-20 years. It cuts clean, sands & glues easily, & paint sticks to it easily. I like it & it gives the softer hit, that I want...JER

MP-Ivory also is not white, but more like tan or almond in color.....

Atlas discontinued the ageis tube for joints. Now you have to get the Iverine which is more expensive.

I'm not sure which one i will try, but it will not be the ivorine-III. So far out of 4 ferrules, 2 came back cracked. One lengthwise, and the other was cracked horizontally in chunks. It must have had air pockets under the finished ferrule.

Yeh, that is Aegis11. Not nearly as nice as the old Aegis. It's more like Ivorine111.

Has anyone tried the new product Atlas is selling "Ivorine IV"? I saw a sample of it brought back from valley forge but have no idea how it machines, glues, etc. Color seemed okay and hopefully it does not have the weave problems version III had.

Try the Ivorine-IV that Atlas came up with. It is the same price as the Ivorine-III, but is much more consistent, and seems to be stronger. It is generally a good improvement, though it still soaks up any color or dirt from materials around it. You have to run an air flow to keep it clean. Also, this new stuff is hard as h%^l! I burned 2 hss bits up before swithing top carbide.
