Does anyone know why The Seminole Pro Tour does not allow white sneakers in their tournament? Do other tournaments have similar restrictions? Just curious. Thanks.
 
Any other color of sneaker is okay??? Wow, that's really weird, unless it's got something to do with the Indian culture of the Seminole tribe.

i dont know but i know that some college football teams dont let their players wear white shoes or put their names on their jerseys. they say thats for the pros. im not sure if it spawns from that humbleness thing or not. weird either way
 
I think a dress code is a good idea , but this is a little over the line.
 
My guess would be that dark shoes look more professional but then again they didn't say you couldn't wear orange or purple.

This is straight from their web site.

Registration Deadline One Week Prior to Tournament * Late registration fee will apply
Tournaments will begin on Friday night and finish on Sunday (Location specific start time)
Collared Shirt Required * No jeans, shorts, sandals, hats or white sneakers
No Smoking in Playing Areas
 
Suggestion: Many sports have referees wearing black shoes...so if tennie runner comfort is your bag...;)

I would only wear my white sneakers with shorts or jeans anyway,which are also not aloud.
 
For those of you that don`t live here in florida.The state dress code is white sneakers,black socks that go up to your knees,plaid shorts pulled up to your chest,white belt,a shirt made in the 50`s and sunglasses that are made to go over your prescription eyeglasses.It is also a requirement to ask for senior discounts at every cash register and be inline at the buffet resturaunts at 3:45pm so you can eat dinner at the lunch price.
Don`t want to offend any seniors on the site just giving a little humor and yes I live in florida but I`m 41.

Yes it`s right on the money.I have lived here for 10 years and I still get amazed at some of the things they(seniors) do here.I have learned never go to the buffet resturaunts near 3:30 pm,never drive behind someone if you can`t see their head above the seat,Just because there turn signal is on doesn`t mean thats the direction there turning.If you ever get invited to play in there golf points game don`t shoot under 90 or you will be moved to the back tees and then when you play from the tips and have 9 par skins you will be ask not to play again.I still like living here.At least Corey D will play golf with me.
