White table spots??

I am against putting any type of adhesive spots on my tables. On my pool table I draw everything on in pencil.

I have done the same on my snooker table, however I used a white pencil. Now my black and my pink spots are wearing thin, and starting to create a slight divot. So I think I am forced to put adhesive spots on. I have been searching for white adhesive spots 1/4" or 1/2" and can't find any.

Does anyone know where I can purchase some??

Are you talking about practice spots?

I use Avery Reinforcements Lables. They come in a tape dispenser with 200 labels, actually they are hole reinforcements for loose leaf sheets. Go to any office supply store. There are also other type of stickies available such as small dots that come in many colors.

If you are talking about the spots for placing the balls I am sure any billiard supply would have them.

Thanks..................I was going to hit an office store. I was referring to the spots needed for the colored ball placement. The billiard supply stores have them in black, and I prefer white. Not a racial thing LOL!!! Just that my baulkline and "D" are in white, so I thought it would look better!

An office store will have a variety of white and colored labels for use as price stickers. They should have a good selection of sizes in white.
 
I played at a guys house this weekend. He had a red laser pointer mounted in his ceiling tile. The flick of a switch turned it on and you knew exactly where to put the head ball. Was pretty trick if you ask me! The balls racked tight every time. The only issue was the switch was on the wall so when you wanted to rack or spot balls you needed to flip it on. I suppose you could leave it on but then it reflects funny on balls when they are under it.

You know I have heard but never tried that you can put a drop of water on the divots in cloth and it should raise them back up.

Yeah I thought so too. He said he searched long and far before he found the type of laser he needed. He finally found it at a pet store. Said it was part of an aquarium treasure chest....????? :shrug:

What I thought of and I always try to take someones idea and make it better was to have a switch under the table close to it. Or even better a foot pedal.....Oh the possibilities! :yeah:
 
I like the laser idea, that is cool.

Well I went to the office store, they have 1/4" spots but not in white, they have every color of the rainbow. Which I guess would be cool. Each colored ball spot would be color coordinated. But if I did that the snooker masses would be disgusted with me.

So............get this........... I am going to take a whole punch and punch out six 1/4" circles from an adhesive paper and that will be that. I will go blind trying to peel them off......................but the table will look good.

tksix...The hole reinforcements are perfect, and leave NO adhesive residue on your cloth. They are the best, because the ball will actually 'sit' on the circle, enabling a perfect reset of the ball, every time. A box of them is about $2-$3 at any Staples or Office Depot.

I have never seen white spots on the market. What you might want to do is get regular spots and the outer black portion off, leaving you with a small white adhesive spot
 
Scott...thanks I did see those. However, I need something that will protect the cloth under the colored balls of my snooker table. I have the spots drawn on in white pencil.........but the black, pink and blue get most of the action and those spots are now divots.

SDBILLIARDS....................good idea. I may try that. What I did was take some Avery pressure sensitive paper and used a hole punch. The hole punch is 1/4"..................peeling the backing was a pain. I will give it a week or so and see how they hold up!!
