Someone said that Whitten has come out with a line of cases that weighs less than thier previous ones. Has anybody seen one?

I haven't, but if they didn't/don't, they're missing out. Jim Murnak just recently came out with his lighter case. And of course, Jack Justis has had the ProLite out for a couple of years now.

There were a couple at the SBE I understand and they sold fast. 3.5#'s for a 2 x 4 with long, short pouch, handle, and carry strap is not bad. Apparently the Shell is Molded Fiberglass. Whitten deliver case pretty fast, from my personal experence, like 2-4 weeks from order.

I have the very 1st one since the end of feb. very nice only weighs in at 3 pounds & 9 ozs.The very best american made cases in my opinion. A up to date look, lite yet good protection with lighter tubes, easily changed out if the interior is worn out & a unmatched warranty on the case. Give your dollar to USA made not china! ;)

I will hopefully have my 3x6 "lite" Whitten in a week or two.

Nice cases

I saw them at the SBE and they are fantastic. Just like the originals but in a lighter version. Now you have a choice. Original contruction and the new light weight construction. Both very nice cases from some very nice people.

Joe told me the Lites were $30.00 more than the Originals,

I think many player who B***H about an extra pound or two of Case Weight they have to carry around, could lighten the load if the the Player went on a serious diet.

That would save their Hearts, Knees, Ankles, Feet, etc., and maybe give them a few more year of life, and pool time.

I have a 2x4 whitten and fully loaded with 4 shafts and 2 butts & gadgets it weighs 9lbs. Empty it weighs 5lbs. With the new lite case at 3.5lbs would reduce the weight to 7.5lbs....about 16%. Doesnt seem like much until you have carried a case around the Phillipines when its 95 deg and 90% humidity. Takes 3 San Miguel beers to rehydrate me on arrival at my destination! I do love my Whitten case. I may have to pop for the lite version. The money I'll save on beer will pay the difference in cost in no time at all :-))

Are all the new Whitten cases lite? The site doesn't even seem to list "lite" as an option, as far as I can see. I just ordered a case and no mention was made of a lite option, but if there is one I'd like to know so I can perhaps amend my order.

Move. :D That's one reason why I left Vegas because it would be 10 months between rainfalls. I love weather and there just is none out there. Not allergic, just hated that constant sunshine ...if you think I'm kidding live there for a while.
