Who All Is Going To Peoria?

Now that Zach (zeeder) has revealed what's around the eye, I guess anyone wanting to speak to me (though why on earth they would want to is anyone's guess) can just ask Zach - he can point me out (I haven't missed a minute of the pool in the last 2 tournaments). Zach is the official meeter and greeter - hey Zach, where are you taking us for drinks?????

There's always that sportsbar that's in the casino! I remember when I first got to Peoria two years ago and had no idea where anything was I was wandering around that place looking for information on where to go. :D

Much to the chagrin of the other forum members I've decided to post my picture in my avatar so if anyone wants to say hi in Peoria they know what I look like...lol.

Don't you mean now we know what you look like so we can avoid you? (:

Just kiddin'! See ya there, haha.

Hey! You were Rackin Zack before..I needed to talk to you anyway... do you still have your photos from the past WPBa tourney you were at, still online somewhere? I was wanting to save them to my computer!

I took them down from the web, but I still have them on my computer. I'll put them all in a zip file and put them online to make for easier downloading for anyone who wants them.

I've decided not to bother with lugging the camera to Peoria until I can improve my photography skills...lol.

Last year Melissa and I had a meet and greet type deal at the bar in the hotel. It was quick in between the day and night sessions on Friday. Maybe we could do that again? That gives everyone a chance to say hi if they haven't met and all of the players are guaranteed not to be playing a match to miss the meeting. Let me know if you like this idea.

Thank you!

I put the pics in a zip here. The file is, of course, WPBA_Pics.zip...lol. Let me know when you've gotten it downloaded and I'll take it back down.

Sounds good to me as well. I didn't get to meet everyone in Alpine. :(

that sounds like a plan. as long as nobody picks on me, and tries to beat me up. . . . . . . . . . . :(

wonder if Aileen Pippin is going to be in Peoria this year?

Only if I can keep my anonymity. I'm trying to pull a Vagabond at this tourney..."I will talk to you and I will know who you are, but you will never know that you talked to Vagabond....er, Landshark!" :o

Is the casino the best place to stay or are there other very nice hotels in the area? P.S. does anyone know if all of the events are sold out yet? Thanks c-man.

The casino hotel is expensive....I just checked their web site and to stay Fri and Sat night, the cost is like $360. And I'm sure there's the old sales tax, hotel/motel tax and maybe a local option sales tax. That's gonna be over $400 for two nights stay! Wow.

I'm looking for a cheaper place to stay. Anyone have any ideas on location/prices, etc.?

According to the wpba web site, tickets are availble at the casino gift shop, running from$6 to $75.

I'm cheap so I'm staying at the Super 8 about a mile away for around $60/night after taxes.

Thanks Jeff, maybe someone knows of some very nice motels in that area, that maybe not quite as steep in price.

Par-a-dice is a nice place to stay. There's also the Hampton Inn, which is just a few hundred yards away form the Par-a-Dice.
