I also think we may be surprised by Mike Sigel and Ginky both. It will also be interesting to see how the older, more experienced players do in relation to their standing in 9 ball... Knowledgeable guys like your Ray Martin or Nick Varner. Finally, I'm excited to see what Ronnie can do over time.

Pagulayan, of course, would also do well, and it's a tremendous loss to the tour that he isn't participating.

Phew! It's too many of them and more in the way of excitement. If you twist my arm to pick one for the upcoming tournament... I'd go with Gabe... or Reyes... or Manalo... :D :D :D
 
Reyes, Archer, and Hohmann would be my favorites but there are about 20 or so players on the list that wouldn't surprise me one bit if they won.
 
I've seen everyone picking people to win but has anyone picked Sigel? The guy is already in the finals. Do you guys really figure all of your picks to beat Sigel in the finals? I made a joke about it in another post but, honestly, I guess I like Sigel to win.

Sigel already has a guaranteed spot in the next final. He will play the winner of the round robin format for the $200,000 first place money.

I would like to see Allen Hopkins, Ray Martin, Grady Mathews, Keith McCready, or Efren Reyes vs Mike Sigel in the finals.
 
I predict that Sigel has a flashback and takes the cheese.(At least I'd like to see that)

His opponent will most likely be Efren. Just look at Efren's track record in tournaments the offer big cake. The cream always rises to the top and Efren is unarguably the creme of the crop.

Furthermore, I challenge anyone in the World to play Efren in any game that involves 15 balls. I don't care if I have to rob Fort Knox, I'm putting all my cheese of Efren. After all, he's the only player in the World that I would bet on spotting Cliff Joyner in 1 hole, unarguably the greatest rotation player in the World, and he won his first 14.1 US title at the first US 14.1 tournament he ever played in, the star studded 1995 Maine Event 14.1 Championship. If there's 15 balls on the table, I like Efren every time.
