who can fade this guy on a bar table?

Thread goes from Jesse is hard to fade on a BB to watch Jesse...he plays BB right IMO (added by me, then it goes to who's better than him on a BB, then who's the best money player in the US. LMAO. Johnnyt

I must have misunderstood the wording of the thread. I thought it was "who can fade Jesse on a barbox". I can say he has more heart than most i've seen, which shows often by never giving up reguardless of the score. When he gets that break going theres no doubt no one has to beat him. I just believe Shane plays better safeties and would be the favorite playing 10 ball, closer playing 9 ball. I can honestly say that I have seen no one break better on a barbox than Hennesse playing 9 ball. I've watched him break for over a hr without the cueball ever hitting a rail and getting perfect shape on the 1 in the corner unless a ball hooked him. I would rate them close playing 9 ball, then Jesse, and even closer with Hennesse, Corey, Frost and Nevel. I think in a race to 21 anyone of these can win! I also remember not long ago Corey beat Shane a 5,000.00 set on a barbox playing 8 ball. On a barbox, I think many will agree that it all depends on who is breaking the best that day!

I stand corrected. The OP did ask "who can fade Jesse on a bar box. Johnnyt

Well, that's what happens in any topic. People get into a discussion about something, which leads to discussions about other things. Whats wrong with that?

If I'm not mistaken Corey did beat SVB in BB 8 ball, but...they were playing you had to break from the side rail. I think that was one of corey's stipulations to play so he could neutralize SVB's break. It was smart on corey's part but if they were playing break from where you want Corey's definitely not the favorite.

Agreed on Bowman's 8 ball barbox game. When he is in dead punch it's really strong but Shane plays even stronger 8ball bb!

I was fortunate enough to actually see Shane and Jesse play a couple of 8ball sets on BB during the ACS's first year in Vegas.

It was probably about 2am and I didn't know who Shane was at the time. Saw a crowd in the side room, went over to check out the action and saw a skinny guy in a shiny silk shirt beat Jesse 2 sets in a row. I only saw those two sets and don't know if they had played others before I got there. I remember that between the both of them they probably missed two or three times for both sets! The only reason the other got to the table was due to a dry break! It was like they were attacking that Valley table. Anyway, Jesse was done but when the 2nd set money was being counted out on the table Jesse asked Shane to play some 9 and Shane quickly declined:eek: Not sure he would do that today but it would be cool to see a long race between the two on TAR.

I would be the first person in line to sign up for this match (and buy the DVD) if they could get it to go down. I think an all around with the two of them would be AWESOME!! 8b, 9b, 1h..

I agree, one of the biggest hearts in all of pool. Will play anyone as long as the game is reasonable. He's proven over & over that he doesn't need the nuts to play, just a fair shot. He will let his skill & determination take it from there.

Of all of aspects of Jesse's game, I would not discount his safety play. He rarely fails to lock you to the ball he is hooking you with. That is an IMMENSE advantage.

I can honestly say that I have seen no one break better on a barbox than Hennesse playing 9 ball. I've watched him break for over a hr without the cueball ever hitting a rail and getting perfect shape on the 1 in the corner unless a ball hooked him.
This is often the difference in BB matches...who locks in on the break first (make a ball consistently & squat the rock). Those that let the CB fly are bound to lose. Those that allow the 1B to go anywhere but near the upper corner pocket are bound to lose.

Another aspect to watch in Jesse's game is how he simplifies the rack. He ALWAYS finds a simple solution (pattern) and takes what the table gives him. He doesn't try to force anything.

Also, his CB is on LOCK DOWN at all times. He'll make a steep cut shot and the CB just floats to the next ball...lesser players will get anxious & let the CB fly a bit. Always smooth.
