OK, ok, now that you're done laughing at the title of this post, in all seriousness, who else takes your own set of balls to the bar/pool hall to play with?
I've become so sick of the poor quality of balls (cue balls especially) at the local bars/pool halls that I'm starting to take my own set of Aramith balls with me to play with, especially for league.
(I'm not even going to get into the condition of some of the tables I've come across.)
I recently came across a cue ball at a local Pool Hall that was so unbalanced if you slow rolled it when the cue ball was in just the right position, the cue ball would literally make a big sweeping curve one way or the other.
I've also seen the playing balls so old/hazy/chipped or whatever that I was utterly disgusted.
I've had shots go off-line due to a chip in a playing ball, it's only happened a couple times, but you never forget those shots.
Is this a problem everywhere or are we just unlucky enough in my area to have some bar owners that obviously don't care what kind of equipment they present to the public?
Anyway........I don't mean to disrespect all bar owners because I know of some that really take care of their equipment and I realize a lot of these places don't actually own their tables, some amusement company does, but back to the question at hand........who else takes their own balls to play with?
