Who else makes an oversize 8' table?

They are also called Pro 8. The playing surface is 46x92. I have 7 that have never been recovered and will deliver to Florida cheap!!! Not Tokyo though! LOL.

I read on one of these threads,where someone from diamond(I think Gregg)stated that they make 1 size 8 foot table.This is to keep the slates from getting mixed up in the shop I think.Good idea, why do we need 2 sizes of 8ft tables anyway.If I am wrong it won't be the first time. what are the dimensions for the 2 different tables.
edit: diamond dimensions are in the middle of 8 ft and oversized 8 ft

dont know. but those are the only brands id buy anyways.
Johnny...I personally wouldn't want an 8ft table. You never play on them in a tourney & seldom see them in a poolroom. I'd rather not practice every day on something that I wouldn't play on when you leave home. If you don't have room for a 9ft...keep the barbox. Until very recently when I just got a 9ft...I'd had a Valley barbox in the shop for the past 10yrs & was very happy with it. Put some new quality cushions, 860HR, and double shim, Aramith Super Pros...and a nice Diamond light overhead. That package makes for a fine barbox worthy of any champion.:wink:

I have an oversized 8' Gandy Big G out of Georgia. Gandy went out of business a while ago. Popular table in the day. I bought the largest table I could for the room I had in 1976. That size fit the bill. Not far away in size to 9 footer.
Rumored to be same model table Mosconi ran his 526. Maybe someone else more knowledgeable on Willie can confirm.
Pockets were very forgiving and pocket shelf short. Not deep like a Diamond or Brun. Lot of play.
So, I had table refurbished 3 years ago. New rails, pockets shimmed to 4.5", shelf shimmed 1/4" deeper, and changed out from Simonis 760 to 860 cloth (most tourneys play 860 and that's why I changed from 760). Plays like a charm. Hope this helps. Table now over 30 years old.

AMF makes or made an oversized 8.
Almost ALL tournament here in Texas are played on Oversized 8fts.
Your game can benefit from an Oversized 8ft. just like it can from a good 7ft or 9ft.
I recommend getting one as big as will fit in your space!
