Who Has Run 5 Racks Or More

There have been more 100+ ball runners on here than I initially thought, but still not that many. I am not included in the field.

So who has run 5 racks or more in 9-ball at least once in your life.
I'll be the first to raise my hand and wave it wildly saying "I HAVE...I HAVE"!

Who else?

I guess I can safely post Snapshot9, JimmyM, and Rod for starters.

Hmm, I've never ran 5 racks during practice because I rarely practice 9-ball. But in tournaments I've ran 5 racks once... if this counts: Race to 7, I'm leading 2-1 and my opponent misses early in rack. I run the table plus 4 more to win the set 7-1. On my next match (right away on the same table) I win the lag and start with a break and run. At 1-0 break my cueball slow rolls in the middle bag

So, I ran 1+5 in 2 different matches. I think that counts as 5 racks. Umm, oh yeah. All racks were clean run-outs without any 9-ball combos.

Just once. It was in a small money match (race to 5 for $100) against a very good player that I have matched up with several times. Made the 9 on the break twice. Combo'ed/caromed the 9 twice early in the rack. Ran out from the break once (about 7 balls if I remember correctly). My opponent was so distressed that he offered me 2 games on the wire if we played again :) - he then won 2 close sets that way. I got him in straight pool though.

Nope.
3 is my high run in 9-ball
2 is my high run in 8-Ball

Although, I did crap the nine 5 times in a row once off the break. Should have seen my opponents face :D

My top run is 6 consecutive racks in a gambling match on a full size table. I think the best I've done in a tournament is maybe a 3 or 4 pack. I ran a 6 once in practice as well if that counts. I remember the first time I ran four consecutive racks at Starcade Billiards in FL...I thought I was on the road to being a World Champion..LOL.

The coolest thing I've ever done which is a total fluke was playing nine ball on a 4 x 8 table at Snooker's in Nashville, TN. I made a ball on the break. From there I "banked" out the remained balls in order one handed. I was playing a set with my dad (and we enjoy gambling against one another as well) and I had a relatively easy cross corner bank on the 1 so I banked it one handed (purely going for making the ball). Well, it happened to set up on the 2 for an easy cross-side bank. Boom, made that. Of course while I'm doing this I'm talking a LOT of trash to my dad..telling him such things as, "it's too easy playing you regular so I have to bank out one-handed." (I think we were playing a set for $50). Anyhow, I bank down to the 9 and the cue ball is about 7 inches off the top rail, and the 9 is in the middle of the table. I figure I have to go for it as I've made it this far. Boom, bank it table length into the corner. All my dad said was, "Smart ass." Wish I had it on tape, because it even sounds like a crock of shit as I sit here writing about it.

My high runs with righty in 9 ball...
8 pack, once
7 pack, twice
6 pack, a bunch of times.

With my left hand, it was a 3 pack.

In 10-ball, my high run is a 6 pack with the right hand.

Oh yeah, and my high run in Billiards is a 9

Theoretically I could run about 25 racks of 9-ball.

I'll spare you all the math and just trust you are convinced :p  :D

I don't believe you...it's impossible!!

I've run 4 8/9 racks before. I was in the groove, wasn't counting and totally unaware of where I was!! There I was on the 7, and my opponent says "damn, you get out of this one, and that's five straight racks!" That's when I woke up, pocketed the seven, blew shape on the 8 but had a bank, banked that 8 and scratched!!!!
Couldn't eat for 3 days!!!

Hey Koop, we're opposites ... I've run 2 in 9 ball, 3 in 8 ball !

.... and there's a table like that down at the pool hall, good old table 13. In the singles 9 ball league I play in there is bonus money at year end for the most 9 ball breaks (though they do not count as a win), and the league director makes sure that people do not play on 13 too often.

MY records are : 1. 7 9 ball breaks in a row on a bar table, 6 in a row on a 9ft table. 2. 5 run outs in a row 9 ball on a big table, 9 run out on a bar table. 3. once ran 11 racks in a row of 8 ball bar table with a plug ball in a tounament. 4. was playing a race to six in the state tounament and was down 5 to 1 and ran 5 racks in a row on a 9 fter in a race to 6. 5. made 5 jump shots in one rack to win a match of nine ball on a bar box it was funny. LOL my funiest record would be that I made 7 ball s on a 9 ball rack on a bar table and did not run out they still pick on me about this at the pool hall I had no shot.

7 on the break and snookered

While not much of a nineball player, I did run 9 racks at the Congress Bowl in Miami, FL on the front table. (Jimmy Reid can verify) I ran up to the seven ball on the 10th rack and missed. At the Crossroads Hillbilly Bar in Ft. Lauderdale I ran 8 racks on their 4 1/2 x 9 bar table with the big cue ball playing in a 5 handed ring game. I was just trying to hold the table until the great Cannonball Eddie Kienowski, from upstate NY, could arrive and get in the game. I got out, he got in, and he broke even the rest of the way! Luckily there are players still alive that can confirm both runs. I also made seven balls on the break playing nineball (the only time) and was snookered on the next ball. I made six balls on the break several times and was also again snookered once. People wonder why I never preferred nineball. I hear about many great runs in nineball, but I have personally never seen any.

lots of 3 packs in nine ball in the last year or so with one five pack against a friend. I would not have even noticed had they not told me about it as I guess I was in the deadest stroke of my life. Oodles of 2 packs In my hall we dont count the nine on the breaks.

only a 59 run in snooker but barely play

only 48 in strait but working on it. So much focus. 9 foot table

8 ball 4 4 packs, lots o threes and some perfect matches in league a couple of years ago. Not vnea bar box but all on nine foots

These days seem to be stuck at two or three and then I have to concentrate quite a bit. I am that guy in your hall who can run 8 of nine but miss that stait in nine. whats he called... oh yeah the big fish!! HAHA
