Who is a fan of 60" cues?

I play myself with 62 inches cue- being bit older now with "some issues" (cough, lol) it helps a bit.
It s more about the personal comfort- sometimes I am a bit amused, if someone plays constantly with a 68 inches cue....and himself is just 160 cm tall--- that looks *a bit funny*- and does not really help , grin.

Frank Stellman also known for making Sailor Cues was an accomplished straight pool player. In his cue making time his early cues were 57 inches them They progressed to 58 inches and in the latter part of his building he was making 59 inch cues.

After playing with one of his cues I went to his shop in Racine and took a lesson from him and spent the whole afternoon with him chatting about his career and pool in general. On that day he told me I would improve my potting if I went from a 58 inch cue to a 59 inch cue.. I did so and he was correct.. All my cues are now 59 inches and I have one with a balance rite that makes it 62 inches..

Now I am considering a new all carbon fiber Becue due to their flexibility of lengths and I want to try an all carbon fiber cue...

In the end it is what feels good in your hand and I prefer a longer cue...
That makes sense to me. In the world of experimentation trying to "force a signal" is pretty common. Try playing with one of those shorty cues made for when walls get in the way. Unless the ball is hanging in the pocket, you're screwed with the shorty. On the other side of that spectrum, I once hit some balls with an Earl-like 75" cue. I could absolutely notice an immediate improvement in my shot making.

Old thread has came back to life. I play with a sixty inch cue. Nobody ever comments about it's length when they try it, only it's weight. It is sixteen ounces and while sixty inches long with a wrapless butt the balance point is the same from the tip as a 58 inch cue usually is. While we call out the balance point from the end of the b

So it is an old thread, that is very odd since my post is the first one in 2022 that I see, yet it showed up on the first few pages of the forum when I posted. Unless I am looking at the dates wrong. Strangeness.

It seems that all of the settings are changed when we start a reply. If I start to reply to a thread and then delete the reply before posting I still get notices of more replies.

A few other weirdness's like you have noticed too. I think somebody started to post a reply and changed their mind bringing the thread to the top with no replies. We can completely delete posts after posting for a minute or two with no markers too, perhaps that is what happens.

Just a little speculation, I have noticed a little weirdness with the latest software too. Not complaining though, it seems to be very stable!
